Hey ppl, Believe it or not, I want one of those heavy metallic rackets. Just wondering if there's one that people consider "good" So...before you found out about carbon graphite rackets, is there any that you considered as a good racket? What I mean by good is: durable, can handle tension up to 26lbs, not heavy like a tennis racket but considerably heavier than 3U and by the way, is there any that is isometric?
you could try Apacs or SOTX rackets, and jut mod them till you reach the weight you want... steel/ aluminum rackets are heavy, but they arent the best for playing....
The old carbonex 9 with the metal frame can take 30lbs. But it has a graphite shaft. That is an excellent racquet. Used by Kim Moon Soo, Park Joo Bong, Rexy, Ricky, Cheah Soon Kit, Yap Kim Hock, Eddy KurniawAN.
If you can find the gold CAB 9, it should be it. 2U weight. Durability is excellent. I'm still using it... it's my benchmark racket. I don't find it inferior to any other newer or latest Yonex in terms of playability. Excellent for hard hitters... I think one website from China still have it for sale, can't remember which though... Buy 2, one for use and another one for collection... only a suggestion... Nahh... the CAB 9 can take 30lbs safely... Mine strung at 28lbs without any deformation... a subject to you and your stringer 'willingness and bravery'... hehe..
Hey everyone, thanks for the replies Concerning the weight of the racket, I want it to be heavy lol like around 1U. I know it will slow down my performance and everything but I want it for my own reasons =) hmm most people seemed to think that aluminum rackets cannot hold high tensions. Is there any exceptions??? if not....:crying::crying::crying:
