BG 65 string
Hi
I am going to be stringing my AT700 tonight.
I ideally like to play with about 24/25lbs using BG 65.
As such, I am planning to string (without pre-stretch) at 27lbs so that after the first few hours, it should drop to around 25 ish.
Is this correct and would I be right to string at this tension??
Thanks

If I don't pre-stretch the string, how much can I expect the tension to drop in the 'settling in' period for the first week???

it's not the tension drop ... it's the feeling .. if you pre strech the string the feedback given back by BG65 is awesome !!! not just about tension drop
depend on what you use to string it if you expecting tension drop

I use a constant pull machine.
I want it around 24 ish, which is why I was thinking of stringing to 27lbs. Does that sound right??

Constant pull machine mean eletronic ?
24ish then string around 26lb with pre strech .... since BG65 is thick string
always pre-strech that is my motto .... it make the diffrent. with BG65 .......

Would the tension loss for bg65 be big even if you pre-stretched the string? I strung my bg65 at 27lbs, how much would the tension loss be like?

Prestretch just delays the inevitable... this string Will drop fast. Even if you're able to hit 24lbs, life @ 24lbs will be short lived
It's all good, just play around with stringing until you get something prefer :P
