The strings of my Isometric 20Vf are losing tension fast, real fast. Using the string pulling method, it makes a very hollow soud. I do understand that this racket is a very old and low ended racket, that some forumers here might think, is not worth restringing for.

I would like to restring it as it's my first racket when i started playing badminton seriously. It had been with me, time after time, challenge after challenge. I must say, that it has a very big sentimental value to me.

It's still very fun to use it, and it's currently my training racket and 3rd choice racket after my arc10 and at250.

What string should i use to restring it and at what tension?
    it's currently using a factory strung bg65.

    Thanks:)

To add on: There are no visible cracks or hairline cracks on the racket.
    Nor is the racket bent.

only minor paint chips, and scratches on the frame.

Since it's your 3rd racquet you could do the followings:-
    1. string it with a thin gauge like BG66, have a occasional smashing frenzy to remind you the good times of 1st racquet.
    2. string it with 0.70mm strings so that it will hardly break, cos you might lend it to friends or relatives when they join you for the odd game every now and then. hope that helps

I have a Yonex 23VF and its quite similar to your racquet.I recommend you NOT to restring your racquet to BG65 or using strings which have a thick diameter.
Yonex BG66 or GosenR4X 100 will be good.

    Hmm, tension wise?

I was thinking optimal 25lbs, but i m afraid that the frame cant take it.

Try using BG80 or BG85, string it at 22 or 23lbs.

24 LBS would be the max for me as dont think it can hold higher tension.
You can try 25 LBS but of course there'll be a higher risk.
