Hi, I am looking at getting a head heavy racket for offensive play, the racke needs to be good at smashing from the back of the court in mixed doubles and driving low down the tram lines.

I know there are a few different brands for rackets such as Yonex, RSL ect and I read into their more attacking rackets that meet my needs and found the RSL Diamonds X2 Gold and a SOTX Powerboss Woven 11A. I read a few reviews that I could find and they are quite helpful, but I also noticed that both brands do other similar rackets such as SOTX do a 10A and an 11i version.

I would like to know if there are any other rackets I should consider, with similar specs such as head heavy and stiff shaft. And will much appreciate any links as to where to buy the rackets as I am finding RSL and SOTX hard to find in the UK.

    Thanks

SOTX W11 is your best option if you want a cheap powerful racket. Where do you live exactly because the price can be cheaper where you live.

Hi Phandrew, I did notice you recommend the woven 11 and rsl diamond gold 2 for 'most powerful' racket from earlier threads. I went on SOTX shop online and I see they are now offering several new models, the site rates their racket for Power, Control and Defense and it rates the Woven 11 9.7/10 for power. But the new model that just came out its rating it as 10/10 for power. But it costs a lot lot more. I dont think there are any reviews on any of these new rackets at all from SOTX.

The puppy sports website seems to have a good price on all rackets, but between the rsl diamond gold X2 or Blue and the woven 11 which would be the superior for power?

I live in South Wales, UK.

Can I perhaps get a Vote going on which racket is best for smashing: Just name the racket and briefly why.

Also can I get a rough idea on what string people are using on their rackets i.e. their woven 11's. I use NBG98 at 24 Lbs but that is on an AT800Def not sure what to try on a head heavy racket.

W11 is the best value if you want power play. There is no point spend a few hundred more of a very small amount of power.

the CP-7000 is £109, it says its very stiff, head heavy and its basically the second best racket SOTX do behind the Woven 16 as price wise these are the 2 most expensive. The woven 16 is £129 which is a bit much to be honest. But £109 i'd be willing to pay if it offers better performance than the Woven 11i.

Interestingly the site dont have the Woven 11A, only the 11i, which looks to me that the 11i is not quite as stiff as the 11A. I really do like the idea of the extra long shaft with this particular racket, but does anyone know where to get an 11A in the UK?

    Hi Sgbad,
U said Ti-10 Gen2 is good for Offensive. What about Ti10 Gen3? Is Ti10 Gen3 good for offensive as well?

I think he prefers the aesthetics on the 2nd gen. Some kind of bright purple. Well it looks like the 11i and the 11A models are actually identical apart from the aesthetics. Its the stiffest, longest head heaviest racket out there as far as I can see.

I also now have a friend who is looking for a decent mid price range racket lets say £50 max. he wants something durable, heavy and supports reasonably high tensions as he wants to try using different tensions. Would the Ti10 or Woven 7 come under this category?

What sort of tension are you woven 11 users using on that racket? The highest tension I have used is 28Lbs and that was really good for me until the string snapped after 6 weeks. It was BG65 and it looked like it was fraying as soon as it was strung so perhaps a different string ie NBG98 would hold that tension much better.

Ti-10 would be out of the range. W7 will be in the range easily.
