All i know is goose feather provides better warmth than duck feathers in winter jackets... hehehehehe... so probably goose feather are finer and more closely knit?!
Not 100% sure , but have a look on following 3 pictures The Aeroplane Black and AS50 use goose feather. The third one use duck feahter. There is "bone" in the middle of each feather. what's the difference between the 3 "bones" It is a simple way to distinguish duck feather and goose feather, but not 100% accurate
The goose feather has stronger "bone" than duck's. That's why the duck feather shuttles are more easier to break.
well, u will appreciate the goose feather if u know how to play a decent badminton game... 1 heavy smash on duck feather is all it takes to kill the shuttlecock...
hmm, this is odd. I notice the aeroplane black in your picture has rounded feathers. The one I buy, have normal tapered feathers, similar to normal shuttles. I've heard people mention the round feathers on aeroplane blacks before but i've never understood what they meant.
Yep, aeroplane produces both types. Both are "EG" black label series. I have tried both and cannot tell the difference between them. Both are excellent flight and durability. The current batches are a notch down in durability but still exhibits great consistency in flight.
How to differentiate between goose feather bone with duck feather? It is because goose feather bone center got curve in or otherwise?
AS50 -> Duck. I believe the flight pattern is different and goose tends to weight more. This is case based anyway.
WOW... The person gave you that info either lying to you or do not know what he/she is talking about. If you really have a tube of AS50 made with duck feather, you got ripped off. Sorry bud...
Aw... Wrong T_T I mean Goose... Yonex hate ducks lol xD... sometimes I got forgot which is duck which is goose T_T... Geez... sorry for being sloppy Just read them today though....
