Are you sure it's not just a grommet that came off? It happened to me before and I also thought the sound was from the frame but it was just the grommet sliding and hitting the frame when i shook the racquet.

Check the cone to see if it has come undone from the shaft. Sometimes, part of it gets 'un-stuck' and produces a slight 'crackling' sound when you swing the racket back-and-forth...;)

If you're sure it's coming from inside the frame (and it's not the cone separation punchclear described, which applies to my 900P:mad:), take the butt cap off and shake the racket until whatever's loose inside the frame falls out. Grommets sometimes disappear inside the frame, or it could be some residue left from when the holes were drilled at the factory. If nothing comes out, check the frame for cracks.

Frame? Most of the time it was caused by the broken grommet. But in the rare occasion, the sound also might come from the broken piece of the graphite.Have u clashed it before? It happends to my kason carvel 5.It didn't affect my playability though. But my advice,if that happends without any sign of prove of clashing, then u can go for a warranty.

Glue it back (expertly) with 'super-glue'? Theoretically, it WOULD re-attach the cone firmly to the shaft; hence eradicating the noise issue...:)

Old thread but, I think you should send it in for warranty since it may continue to cause problems if this isn't the ABSOLUTE cause. Let them fix it and if they can't, you might just get yourself a new racket. :D

IN Singapore, i dont think can go for for warranty. I think Yonex Singapore will not b able to help as that is what i gather from most people:)
Otherwise why do we think more n more people are considering or have gotten themselves get a apacs racket:)
Apacs also cant claim but bcos it is only paying a fraction of Yonex's, if have problem then not so "heart pain" and can get a new one easily:D
After all playing badminton is depend more on our skills and not the racket:)
    Wont u agree too:confused:

I suppose but, to build your skills after a certain point, the racket makes a huge difference.

Happened to my AT-700 before, 1 drop of "crazy glue" between the shaft and cone fix the problem :D

we are talking about an expensive good Yonex AT900p racket here, not a cheapo lousy apacs racket:(
u can get urself a $8.50 yamasaki racket, broke 10 of them also heart no pain:D

    What is the topic???

Mr. Xu, have u tried sending in your racket or check with them:confused:
I personally would suggest u to do that:)
As then i heard from one racket brand distributor that claiming yonex warranty may be possible but will take some time:)
However, i personally think that there no such thing as a good racket but only good technique and skills.

A certain branding racket may be costlier, why?:-
    1. We must assist to for "pay" for their advertisement.
    2. Usually branded stuff are expensive.
    3. Branded cos may be used by world champion( but the branded company sponsored them)

The racket will only make a small difference after we have the skills.

It is how we can get used to a racket:)

Above are only my personal ideas:D

The topic is about what could have gone wrong to the racket and how to solve it, and not about comparing nor what is expensive good racket:)
Do forgive me if i could have say the wrong words:)

Bro/sister, thats y i wrote: we are talking about AT 900p n how to solve the problem . i dont know y u want to talk about apacs racket lah , skill level lah heart pain or no pain lah, can claim or cannot claim lah bah bah bah:confused:........
but how to solve the problem u never mention:(.
anyway, to thank u for veiwing my thread, i will like to recommend u to buy any racket that cost under $10.
    why?:-because
    1. u dont need to "pay" for their advertisement.
    2. Usually nor branded stuff are cheaper.
    3. is not use by world champion( so company dont need to sponsored them)

BUT most IMPORTANTLY, i personally 100% sure that it will not affect your good technique and skills:D

I suggest you send your racket to Sunrise as a racket is a finished product . Only Sunrise's staff or engineer will be able to determine what could be the cause of it . Whether it can be repair or warranty or not is not up to anyone of us to comments . :)
