You are so right... World championship 2001, semi-final, Taufik vs Hendrawan... Taufik retired after 2nd game to allow Hendrawan advance to beat Peter Gade in the final.

LYB must have learned his strategies from INA.

Yeah... that takes a lot of courage to create a new account and post non-sense. And you called LYB a coward while phrasing this guy for being one as well.

In fact, a friend of mine who went to OG08 and attended EVERY badminton session was surprised that both LYB and LD were not very popular when she asked taxi drivers and those she met for their opinions.(Maybe CHN taxi drivers and the common folk were just being diplomatic with her.) She was equally surprised that many in the badminton crowd were not real badminton fans but hooligan hordes rostered to intimidate non-CHN players and fans. But she enjoyed Beijing and found Chinese people generally helpful and kind.
WOW... so your beliefs are based on a Taxi driver's opinion and a friend's chit chat... let me ask you, how many people did your friend survey out at the stadium's entrance to find out if they are real badminton fans or not? Talking to 2 people and find out they are not badminton fans, does not mean 100% of the crowd are not badminton fans.

not to mention the 2008OG MS final, no 2 seed and world no 2 (no 1 now) LCW lost in straight sets in record time, c'mon everyone knew that was fixed by LYB. and he even managed to ordered the korean girls to faked the injury in the WD final! it's a disgrace that no investigations have ever been conducted for such behaviour and gave badminton a bad name.

Yah loh, so obvious that LCW's loss is also LYB's setup. LYB purposely make LD face LCW in the OG08 final. If LCW don't lose, the LD will not win. So simple. Can't you all see the grand plan by LYB?

pjswift is just angry that LYB cowardly chose LD instead of him to win the OG08 gold MS. Further, LYB can halt global warming, patch the ozone layer, end world hunger, heal the US credit crisis and sell fake iPods. But he didn't do it because he's too cowardly for any of that.

Damn you LYB, damn you. You are also responsible for all the bad TV programmes we are getting.

I think he used to play with Zhang Jun for a time.......don't have to go back that far either, he was still playing MD until at least 2003 I think.

a question for Cheung and Jamesd20 (I'm not interested in bashing LYB) then: is it common for MD players to shift to XD? I know flandy limpele was once a MD player, and he switched to XD.

sigh....I wonder if there is a thread on Chen Yu. It's really a bit of a loss: I always found him solid. And his win over Chen Jin in the Thai Open showed what CY could do (brilliant final!).

for Chen Yu see : http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...hlight=chen+yu

As for Discipline shifts, the question I assume is open to others as well but my opinion is yes, it is quite common. Numerous Junior players have played in different disciplines than the ones thye were most successful in (IE Cai Yun & Peter Gade). and within their professional career it is very common for players to either play both MD/WD & XD or specialise in one.

    u r delusional again.
INA MD was and still is the top in MD power. Are u saying INA's coach(s) have been fixing their MD matches? How dare u say that?

what INA need is to fix their WS and WD where they weaker LOL
Please send your suggestion to the PBSI, u would fit in their (PBSI) culture very well.

As weak as we are, our WS did manage to prevent 3 CHN flags to be erected in OG, which I think would be very monotonous LOL

And... What is this 'culture' you're referring to, Sire?

In order to fix matches in WS and WD, INA needs to have at least 3 players/pairs in WS and WD. Not even LYB can fix matches with only 1 WD team and 1 or 2 WS players in a super series.
