I wouldn't call it "blind hatred" as all this hate has started way back since LYB's army has been destroying the dreams of many other shuttlers' and fans' of winning world championship, and Olympics.
On the other hand, if LCW could be named as "Datuk" for winning a silver medal at OG 08... LYB (with all his achievements)could easily be named as "King of Kings" if he coaches in Malaysia.
All these hates from those boleh fans would turn into kissing LYB's rear end.

Final warning on this thread.......the title and subject is Chinese coach changes & retirees......please do not degrade it into another Match Fixing/Conspiracy/Anti CHN/INA thread.

Anyways, back to the topic - i think there is a thread here before saying that Gao Ling also applied as a coach. But it was not accepted before because they still need her in the team.
Now that she's retired..i wonder what her new plans are.

Hmm..
..as far as i'm concerned, love him or hate him or could-care-less abt him, LYB (or any coach) can only do so much with whatever he's given. I think it's the players who are the main cog to the success of the Chinese team.
And looking at the list of (retiring) players and their up & coming young talents, i certainly wouldn't worry too much abt CHN's team.
..is there a DELETE button instead, to delete the posts??
(don't prefer to sacrifice and lock this thread)..

yes, it seem cruel but that's life. Workers get fired, retired, just like sport players everyday and we dont cry boo hoo over them. Picking on certan player or coach's action as being unfair is childish and don't have grasp of real life. It is not a surprise to see a new round of retirement or termination after 08OG, it clears the deadwood for new rejuvenation in preparation of 2012. Nature does this automatically by seasonal winter and cyclical forest fire.

yes, following on from Cooler, I'm curious....are any of the coaches not former national players? or (shock, horror), non-mainlanders (apart from Tian). I mean, one key reason Japan is doing well is because they have employed Park Joo Bong, right? Poland has similarly got a Korean coach....I just wonder if China might benefit from different kinds of coaching. The current coaching line-up seems terribly incestuous.

China Daily also reported this changes...it mentioned that younger players will benefit more from ZN and CH as they had most of playing experiences in tournament....
