LYB must have learned his strategies from INA.
That's what I don't understand. Why would a great country like CHN pick up a bad habit long discarded by INA? I would have thought CHN would have the pride to show that it can win with integrity, without resorting to match breaks. You know , I used to think CHN was a badminton great until I researched how they won titles in the last few years.Of course if I had no curiosity, i would have remained a diehard CHN fan.

You have a good point and I'm sorry I digressed.
Maybe you can explore some solutions:
1.Start a new thread with the appropriate name and move the relevant posts there. (May be a lotta work)
2.Leave the posts alone and let them die naturally as they feed and ambush the key thread at the same time.
I don't think you'll ever have a great thread if you give it the hospital treatment: neat and sterile. Many of the 'perfect' threads are like stunted trees. The richest thread I've seen so far is the one of LD vs Phelps. It was great because the posters exercised creativity to the max and there was some high quality input from 'normal onlookers' who finally got stirred into verbal action.
In the end, policywise, you mods may want to begin with the end in mind.Do you want this forum to be like a hospital or a rainforest?

Long after we are put underneath the ground... people will only remember this generation of shuttlers(eg. the list of retired CHN players) by their results and nobody will remember about which one of them won by match fixing or whatever + these players or coaches do have a family to support and they also want a good wealthy life style, and trust me, most people will do whatever it takes to provide for their loved ones or themselves for that matter.

Let's face it, if you were in one of their situation with $ and glory to be won, how sure are you to say that you won't consider "match fixing" especially since it is NOT exactly breaking any official rules. Are you sure you can put "fair play" ahead of your family and your own welfare???

that's true. I still think China could benefit from an outside approach. I don't think it would hurt to look at different ways of training, understanding the game. Meh....
