Is there a good court close (like, really close) to the Sultan Hotel? Also, do people play in the morning, say, from 6am to 8am? If not, how about in the evening, say, from 8pm to 11pm? The hotel has an abundance of tennis courts but (surprisingly in Indonesia) it doesn't have one for badminton!
^^It's because..^^ ..you're coming and all the INA(Jakarta)-based BCers are afraid of challenging you...(j/k) Are you traveling to Jakarta? If so, try contacting/PM-ing our Krisna-->I think he'll provide you with better playing courts and perhaps partners....
I think ... Had a little peek there visiting one of the shops in the INA shop list somewhere in the market place section. Should be across the road behind the convention center. But I'm sure others will be able to tell more about it ... Same street as Senayan City
Yes, I'm scheduled to be in Jakarta in a few days from now. It's, um, work-related... and, so, I'm packing only two racquets Thanks for the, er, Photo to Nowhere I haven't the faintest idea where it is. (And it looks like a pic taken from a prison cell )
The nearest badminton courts to Sultan Hotel, is Istora Senayan or The courts near Mulia Hotel at jl. Asia Afrika. I used to play baddy near Mulia Hotel, every saturday. I tried to put the map..but failed..maybe the size is too big
yeah, there are a few courts nearby, near Hotel Mulia there is one. There is another one near Senayan which my colleague is playing with his son but I heard that it is not that good(but it is cheap) I don't know anyone playing in the weekday morning except Sunday morning, 6.30am-8.30am at Jelambar(west Jakarta). Night time usually the time when most people playing
Try.. ..contacting Krisna. And if you're lucky and he's in town, trust me, you won't be disappointed playing... *Just my 3 sen rupiahs suggestion; anyway, have fun and do report back to us of your experience and pics..
The sports centre that has tennis courts, swimming pools too ? I played with Simon and a few others a few times there but not regularly. I am playing 9am - 1pm at Ancol on Sundays.
nope, not simon santoso. This Simon is well-known in that court because he often play in other courts or invite other player to play together
Anyway, I'm packing my optimism and two racquets. Now all I need is a court and players near the hotel
The Owner was ex INA Tennis Association, so some Tennis Challenger or Satellite was held in there. Badminton is needed indoor court while tennis could played outdoor. The closest badminton is Istora, then Tennis Indoor or Badminton Hall near Mulia Hotel. Some badminton event has been held in these places.
I've been here a day... but no success Everyone I am now interacting with plays either golf or tennis. And I thought Indonesia was the popular home of badminton!
