I think mostly are olser or a lot older and experienced than you.No offence intended.
When you said your smash was so powerful most of us probably thought yor smashes were like lin dan or other national professional players but you mentioned 'school badminton' so,obviously we didnt see that coming.

Anyway, rule no.1 in forums is,please, dont brag or show off too much.No offence intended-again.

I've read plenty of posts from people your age and lower, and they don't convey their age so blatantly...

can we stop talking about age? a bit sensitive and may cause silly argument.
in forum, we just type. not easy or impossible to judge one's skill or technique.

some of us do give advice in a serious manner.
some of us do give in a joking manner.
some just post to have interaction.

one just learn or absorb the good advice that you think it is usable.

I did try that once but didn't succeed in anything apart from making people on the other courts look at me like I was crazy. Certainly not the desired effect. I guess that if you had an opponent who really wasn't expecting it, it may work. Shouting definitely helps improve your power though.

Indeed it does, I have to agree with that. Shouting helps me concentrate on the game. I usually play C-grade club games, but I attended another club and put myself in B-grade for fun.. .. suprisingly, I ended up playing against some lower-A-grades and B-grades and still managed to match up to them; probably because I was totally concentrated on the game since I was shouting every now and then. I didn't even have time to think, I just reacted to the shuttle, the opponent and my partners.

Gotta try that again at my usual club to see if I still perform as well ..

I guess we don't need 'explosive' strings, we just need to be 'explosive' ourselves.

today i played school badminton and i was playing their number 1 player...
he had a wooden badminton racket with a plastic t-joint...

he had no brains............ number 1 player my ass...lol, am i allowed to swear?
Ever tried playing against Borris Ma or Samuel Ho or Jeff Tho ?

what's with everyone and loud smashes....if anything...the quieter a smash can be the better...that way ur opponent will have trouble differentiating between slices and smashes...go youtube...taufik's 305km smash...it sounds more like a slice than a smash....
