Are you referring to your offer to sell "New AISO Racquets"?
If so, that thread was deleted by one of the moderators.
Its contents were inappropriate for the Buy & Sell Forum.
For your reference, the relevant rules are posted here

By the way, this shouldn't be in the Buy & Sell section.

Any reason why Commercial Buy & Sell is not allowed in BC? I think this is a good idea since there is always someone looking for a place to buy brand new badminton stuffs.
Maybe Kwun can also setup a 'need to click on Donate button' when creating a thread in that section. Hey, where is the donate button?

Well, let me be a bit indiscreet here and say that I am in favour of a commercial element, provided adequate checks and balances can be built in to protect our members.
The problem is in the framework for such a condition.
How does one go about developing such safeguards?
More importantly, who will do it?
Most importantly, does kwun favour this?
The answer to the last question is 'No'.
So there

Buy/Sell forum is a service to provide a place for badminton players/fans to unload their used badminton equipment. the key is that items are used and sellers are not making a profit on it.
if we allow commercial posting and people can make money, profit and greed will take over, and as many mentioned, will turn B&S into a big mess of advertising that are very difficult to check.
the rules are in place to avoid that from happening.
having said that, we do not reject the idea of having a (separate) place in BC to allow commercial advertising. however, it will likely be a paid section.

^^And if that were to happen, might as well..^^
..turn BC into eBayCers...

Yes, i do agree and like the current format/rules/regulations (although i seldom peek into the Buy & Sell section/sub-forum)..
Once in a while, though, i notice some posters, w/ an online baddy website, will put their link in a post. Or an online baddy shop will post & promote its shops/service in BC. Is that allowed, freely, kwun??..

First of all, I'm not teaching the mods how to run the forum here but here are my suggestions:
Alternative 1
Try not to DELETE a thread but CLOSE it instead if it is inappropriate as nobody likes his/her thread to be DELETED. The whole idea of leaving the thread UNDELETED BUT CLOSED is to remind others not to repeat the same mistakes. Those inappropriate/sensitive items/issues/links can be sensored by the mods. Give a brief explanation on why the thread is CLOSED before closing it.
Alternative 2
Send a brief notification and explanation to the poster thru PM on why the thread is DELETED. Well, the poster will definitely hate it but at least he/she knows what he/she has done wrong.

here is what we have been doing:
- if a thread's discussion has gone down the tubes and unrepairable, we lock/close the thread. we post a simple explanation.
- if a thread's discussion has gone down the tubes and repairable, we delete the inappropriate posts and post simple explanation.
we might have slipped every once in a while. but above is what we should be doing.
