I'm thinking about giving Babolat a try after checking out their products on their website. They look pretty good (cosmeticaly) I'm only at an intermediate level and after using many Yonexs, i think its time for a change. I like playing doubles and often play at the net so i was looking at the Babolat Booster Lite model, which seems to fit what im looking for. I know the Satellite ones are rated much higher, but i don't see the point in paying for such an expensive racquet considering i'm still trying to fully determine my playing style. It's only £34.99 at tennisnuts.com. I've already searched the forum and i've found alot of info on the satellite ones, but not so much the Booster ones. Any info would be very helpful! Thanks!
My cousin has a Satellite and I hate it. It gives back so much vibration your hand is gonna be numb after a game. It also feels short in your hand and I dont`feel any power in it. Maybe it`s just me but I hate Babolat badminton rackets.
Really? Hm... Which model did your cousin have? I'm sure getting a better grip will sort it out though. I dont know about the lengh though. The Yonex ones i've been playing with all have the extra 10mm. But i've played with regular sized ones before, and i've yet to have any problems with them.

Yeah i have checked them out already. Thing is, they are not available in the UK (the X-lite series - essential/power/lite etc) Only ones available are the satelite ones and booster. I've decided to buy the Satelite Star. Which is medium flex and at 88g (with string). It's listed as £74.99 on tennisnuts.com, which is reasonable i guess. (my budget has gone up) I like playing at the net, so i'd like to think this racket should suit me. But i'll have to reserve final judgment till i play with it. Only thing is... does anyone know if this racket is head heavy or head light? Can't find any info on this. Any additinal info on this racket would be very helpful too.

Ah, i found some info from the babolat website. Its 295mm (strung). Would this be considered even balance then? It will arrive tomorrow morning and im gona try it out with a few games in the afternoon. Will let everyone if it's good or not. I'll also get up some pics.
If you dont mine getting it from HK, I would recommend e78.com.hk they have it in stock, i think it's cheaper than 75euro
Thanks for the info but but my Satelite Star just arrived today!hehe And yes, it states vividly on the head "engineered in France", yet subtlely shows "made in China" at the base. Still, i don't regard things made in China are of poor quality nowadays (except maybe milk powder). Companies like Sony and Panasonic all have manufacturing plants in China and their products are still made of exceptional quality. I've got the racquet in my hand and it is VERY light. Feels very solid and of high quality though. The cover is a bit of a disappointment though. It's poorly designed i think, as the zip opening is at the top of the case rather than across the side and it only opens about 180 degree - meaning you have to put the racquet in grip first... Nevertheless, it's the racquet that counts, so i will be off to try it out with some mates. Will let you guys know.
Mr Ah Shum What is difference between blast and power? What type of player suitable for blast, and for power?? I like to smash., and very attacking minded. , but I also like to make some trick shot and net shot, which one suitable? blast or power??
