High Intermediate / Advanced Level Groups in the East

Hi all,

Sorry i'm a newbie in this forum. I have a small group of frens playing almost every Sun morning at IRAS. Just wondering if there are any other groups playing at high intermediate/advanced level in the East, especially on weekdays.

Cos sometimes i feel the itch to hit some shuttles, if u know wat i mean

I won't mind booking a court in the east maybe on wed evenings... would like to know how many pple will join. But if you restrict to only 'high intermediate/advanced' I think a bit hard... I dun think I qualify either... ^^

hey Alex, no worries. I'm just asking around outta curiousity. I dun mind joining other groups as well or provide free 'coaching' lessons or tips to whoever wants them. I'm not a full-fledged coach but i guess wif my experience, i'm still able to offer a tip or two to improve your gameplay

I think most importantly is to get your footwork right. I believe that's the biggest issue, also holding the racket properly. Hehe..Anyone interested in my free lessons? Maybe treat me to a drink can liao..haha..

i'm able to play today or thurs or friday...
not at your advanced standard of course...but i'll be thankful for some pointers

Hmm ok think when I get back from overseas I'll try booking slots on wednesday evenings ba... I'll only be back on the 16th though so that means the first wed slot I can book is probably... 3rd Dec haha ^^

So far 3 persons including me... hopefully we can get 5 or 6?

no problems if there isn't enough ppl for the weekday sessions. I could always attend the weekend session to share some pointers with u guys. But as all of us knows, we'd wanna play games instead of being bored with footwork/strokes/etc. Haha..i was like that last time when i attended training.

Thanks for the enthusiasm though, that's a good start

hehe..glad u agree wif me on this! i rem last time our coach will put us thru physical training, footwork, etc. When we were allowed to play games, everyone was energized even though we were exhausted. Haha.. the good old days

Haha of course won't forget you, so you have to leave a bit earlier every wed hor, ask ur boss to be understanding =P

I never had any such experience... cos I never had any badminton training lol ^^ All I learnt I learnt thru playing, so probably have tons of basic mistakes... gonna be hard to change...

advance level as in competitve/ex-state/ex-national level? you can check out bedok sports hall in the evenings. believe the group play every day.

Hi, i played there before as i believe my frens are part of the group. However they are not regulars there so i only join in when they are around. Thanks for the suggestion though
