Probably the best place (though not necessarily the cheapest) is Reg Hall's Racket World in Osborne Park. The other place is to try Rebel Sport.

Maybe you should consider buying the racket online? There are a couple of existing threads about reputable stores online.

As for places to play, I came across this link the other day in Google that might help you.

    Good luck.

Is HK actually cheaper these days?

I just bought a racquet from mybadlookbad and they service and price is great. 7 day delivery from Thailand to Australia and the product is good and genuine.

In terms of Yonex, Calibre in Sydney seems like the best bet as they're relatively local, can send you items overnight, speak English (!) and return emails promptly. By the time you add trackable freight to a racquet bought overseas, the price works out comparible.

I think maybe a smart thing to consider is if a bunch of us Aussies group buy from mybadlookbad. The freight killed me sending just one racquet, but if we group-bought 4-6 rackets, the freight would end up being 20 bucks insead of 50.

I'd be keen to consider that if we could generate enough interest.

I'm from Melbourne and I would be interested in a potential group buy depending on the savings that can be made.

    Isn't this http://racketonlineshop.com/badminton.htm in Perth ?

The price is competitive and they have a show room also.

Now that AUD has gone down, some of the models are cheaper than getting from Bangkok !

Yah boy, really cheap prices, maybe someone from Perth can check them out ?

Anyway, not all are cheap, the RSL is more expensive than the price in Malaysia and Thailand, but the rest of the brands are cheap and they have Mizuno also !

I've emailled them. How rapt would I be if I could get a Gosen Aermet 6900 for AUD120!

What sort of a reputation do the Mizuno racquets have?

You do a search for Mizuno TC700, it has a beastly reputation ! I think at AUD$140, it is definitely the most worth while purchase.

i've mailed them....and no reply yet :( very busy ? Interested in Mizuno TC 700 also but looking for new colour, i have the old one and yes TC700 is a "beast". But if you can try them first i suggest you try.....not so easy for adapting, oval head and small sweetspot ;) but if you can use it then it's worth 2x more than the price . The most powerful racket i ever have...:D

For those that order from the shop, please update on the service (reliable, fast etc). Esp for those that order the TC700, I want to know if it is the new version as I am looking for that. Thanks !

    I'll call them on Monday.

Why have I heard people call the TC700 'Oval'. Looks clearly Iso to me.

Did you see the RRP in Japan? Y24,150!!!! Thats USD250!
