The news has been slow in getting to you.
The SBA Hall was closed in December 2007... that's nearly a year ago.
It's a shame what they did, considering that they haven't put it to any use yet. All that they succeeded in doing is force us to find another place to play
Wong Shoon Keat too was forced to move his game (and store) elsewhere.
His mobile number is +65 9630 2463

Yup, he should be in his early 50s now; i wonder if he still opens the badminton shop that he used to have in SBA.

Like Wong Peng Soon before him, Wong Shoon Keat is a very clever player.
It's hardly about power... what he packs is amazing control, especially at the net
He also has that lazy 'Indonesian' hitting style... although he is hardly one.
Must ask him one of these days how or from whom he picked that up.

i find derek wong an intelligent player but not as experienced as his father... guess time will tell whether he will be as good as his father

I think Wong Peng Soon is Shoon Keat's uncle.

And it makes it all the more admirable for Shoon Keat as I understand one of his eyes is much worse than the other.
Shoon Keat's son, Derek, must be able to beat Tommy Sugiarto, the son of ex-Indonesian singles champion, Icuk, whom his father beat during the SEA Games to become Singapore's first SEA Games champion.
