Wood surface, concrete, carpet. Is carpet the best to skip on and concrete the worst?

Also after like 10 or so mins my feet like start hurting, I land on my toes for skipping is that wrong or something? Or is it my shoe toe support...

I'm jumping in like basketball gym floor wood.

probably carpet is best. don't want too much stress on your knees. 10mins is a good mark. maybe your landing too much on your toes? remember that while people tell you to stay on your toes, it doesn't literally mean only use your toes as support.

    skipping surfaces

    Hi,
According to jump rope Association, it is recommended that the following surfaces are preferred for this form of exercise:

    (1) Wooden floors
    (2) Rubberized surfaces
    (3) Tiles
    (4) Indoor/outdoor carpet
    (5) Asphalt
    (6) Cement.

Of these, cement is the worst. So, do take care of yr kneels when u contemplate to do this.;)
