Today my Nanospeed 8000 strings snapped, and various people were telling me to do different things. My better (older) brother told me to immediately cut them with scissors whilst my coach told me to leave them in until I bring it to the shop to get it restrung. I left the strings in for at least 10 minutes or so whilst I finished my game, and then proceeded to pull all the strings, using scissors where necessary. Should I be pulling out the strings straight away? Or have I already left them in for too long. Im not quite sure, but has the frame of the racquet now warped as the tension was unevenly spread. (Pictures are uploading)
When the string breaks, you should cut the strings as soon as as possible as the racket's tension is no longer distributed around the frame and is now unbalanced. Is the racket head deformed with the strings off? If yes, then your racket is probably gone now.
To me, on intial inspection it doesn't seem to be severely deformed. However the more I look at it the top corners look slightly odd, but that may just be me looking at it for too long. With that aside, is there any technique to cutting the strings, such as where I would place the cuts?

How could a coach ever recommend such a thing ? Cut your strings in diagonal ways like an X, and let the excess tension distribute throughout the whole of the frame..

Wonder why my posts keeps disappearing http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f363/blue_duck_1/DSC04021-1-1.jpg
I think the pattern does matter though because you don't want to put uneven tension on the racquet head by doing the main or crosses separately or by doing it randomly.
Well, I saw somewhere a way to cut the broken string to ensure the even tension. Start from the center, cut 1 vertical string and 1 horizontal string. Then expand the cut 1 by 1 from center to the edge like walking through a spiral. Maybe this will help.
From the picture, I think the right hand top corner is a bit odd. But I cannot confirm that as I'm not seeing the real racquet.
Yea i know even for me, because I've looked at it for so long, i sorta think already thats its warped. From what I see, as compared with the centre shaft, the head looks like its pulled towards the left?
I think the best thing to do might be to get some new strings on it and see how it plays. If it feels bad, then its gone, if it feels alright, then there's no need to worry.

O rite okay thanks^ Anyways yea, I sent it in to get restrung and I'll just have to go from there I guess. Hopefully its not warped and things will be fine
