when i hit a shuttle up and down on the spot, i hear vibrations as the shuttle makes contact with the racquet. It's on my AR-110, and Carbonex-8. I don't feel anything, but this little 'twing' sound comes from the contact. It happens on my friends' racquets also, and only occurs when you hit the sweet spot.

Anyone else get this? I've had a few little clashes, so hopefully it's not a structural problem.

What tension are your racquets strung at? A higher tension may yield a higher pitched sound while lessening feel.

    23lbs AR-110 and like 17-18 for Carbonex-8.

This sound doesn't 'normally' come from when i hit the shuttle up and down. It's not just your normal shuttle-on-to-string sound. Really not sure what it is. Maybe during a clash fragments of the frame came off internally (as it's hollow on the inside) and they're just moving around?

Does it only happen when you are making power shots. Like clearing, smashing, or driving?
If it is, maybe you are not hitting the sweetspot, but off center instead.

Yeah maybe the gromets are makign the sound.

I can't hear it while in play, only when it's dead quiet in a room, and i hit the shuttle up and down when i'm bored =)

and it ONLY happens when i hit the sweet spot, little off, all i hear is the normal contact sound.

Maybe it is supposed to make that sound whenever you hit the sweetspot.
Did you check the strings for fraying? Or maybe the your strings has lost tension, therefore making the sweetspot bigger.
