I saw the Malaysian KLRC team practising while I was getting my line-judges briefing session.. I couldn't concentrate on the lesson!

I saw Lee Tseung Seng, Sairul Amar Ayob, etc.. I can't remember their names. I shall take pics with them.... :D

2008 New Zealand GP: Tommy Sugiarto[5} eliminated in Day 1

    .
Couldn't believe this ... Tommy Sugiarto[5} eliminated in the first hour of Day 1.:confused::confused:

Probably due to injury. Hope that he is OK.

I have just realized the this NZ Open is GP Gold tournament, with so few higher rank players participate, lower rank players will get big points :)

Errr...its only a GP event, with winners getting 5000 ranking points (not 7000 for GP Gold).

It has been a breeze for Tommy Sugiarto and he's expected to face Hsieh Yu-Hsin in the QF on Thursday, where the real match will start for him.

Likewise, Fernando Kurniawan/Lingga Lie and Wifqi Windarto/Afiat Yuris Wirawan will be expected to win their matches comfortably tomorrow. The first test for Edo/Lingga will be the veteran pair of Daniel Shirley/John Gordon in the QF, followed by the "uncle" pair of Cheah Sook Kit/Ong Beng Tiong in the SF. Meanwhile Wifqi/Afiat will be facing a tough match against Chen Hung-Ling/Lin Yu-Lang in the SF.
