The best player you have ever played with

    Hi there

    I am wondering who was the best player you ever played with? I realize that among the people posting there are some professionals as well.

    Personally I am rather an itermediate player. I start playing 22 so I have never had an chance to be realy advanced.

    However I had some opportunities to play with gooooood guys. The best one was no 11 in doubles in the world rank. Well I have not scored a single point but I had a great fun.:D ,

    Well so can you share with me what is your expereince with playing world rank players?

    I played against former #32MS few times. I had always a problem with concentrating on my game. I am more focused on his game than on my own. It is so interesting to see the guy playing. I probably do not have to say you that I never had any chance:( ... But who cares, it's great experience!:)

    Hmm.. the best.. Lets see..
    I guess a chineze mixeddouble.. I only remember the Girls name. Zhao Tingting
    she is not very well known now. ( about my age) but mark my words.. She will
    be a top-3 player in doubles soon! ( I guess she was second in Malaysian open
    this year but I don't know for sure)

    How the game ended? Well.. I got some badminton-lessons as we cal it!
    we didn't have a chance at all! :(

    I might have played against famous people ( koreans and japanes)
    at the Dutch Junior a couple of years agobut then they weren't famous then,
    so I forgat their names..

    Playing county juniors allowed me to play the odd game with/against Simon Archer as he about my age. Playing the satellite tournaments has drawn me against several other good players but not as well known.

    Hi....
    i have played against a few people who have ties with famous players.....
    1) Played against Tiger Chen, the son of chinese national players Zhang Ailing and Chen Changie.....
    2) Another guy who lived wif Yang Yang's wife last year (also a chinese national player) and had training with yang yang.... he has one strong wrist!
    3) A state champion from malaysia
    4) State players from western australia.....

    I would say the best player i have played with is ex-european Stephen Bish. He is retired but ceratinly hasn't (ask UKPlayer, he'll back me up :))

    The best player i have played against was probably Ardy B. Wiranata, he used to be the Head coach for the US national team. I played him after the US jr. nationals, and.... well he beat my unmerciful. That was 2 years ago, recently at the 2002 Japan open i had the chance to practice a bit with Pullela Gopichand, no games just some simple drills.

    The best players i ever played was a fun doubles with Guan Weizhen and Yao ZhiMing. We played mixed doubles, my wife was zhimings partner and i was played the part of the lady with Guan. the one thing i noticed during the match was the concentration and focus they both had. although it was all for fun, they both were extremely committed to not let anything fall on their side, even if either my wife or I missed the shot, they would retrieve the shot.

    Recently I had a chance to play one game against Yao Jie, during a clinic at our club. She's soo fast ! She let me see all cornes. It was a great experience though.

    Archer? I did that too and got a game of him.

    Hmm, knocked up with Agus Haryanto of HK. Had dinner with Wong Choon Hann....
