I have been using YY Ti-10 for about 1 year plus and decided to let go after playing with my old racket Carlton Powerflo 8800 (medium stiff) last night. Seems like when I do clear and smash it fealt compact (no slicing the birdie) and I can clear the birdie with less arm movement compare when I'm using the YY Ti-10.

In my conclusion stiff racket is not suitable for me (AT900P & Ti-10)....so can you guys recommend any racket (other than YY) that have medium stiff shaft and suitable for control player (trying to do less smash coz getting old...my back hurt) :D

    Cheers...

Matt's probably gonna suggest you stick with YY, and actually, some of the MusclePower series and Nanospeed series have flex racquets that you may like.

Or, you can try HEAD (Metallix, pretty flex in my opinion), Babolat (X-feel series), Victor, Prince, Apacs, Winex, Wilson, etc....

yeah, try HEAD, from what i hear, a lot of their rackets are really flexible, and arent expensive neither.

I think KX racket is nice if you want flexibilty. If you want to try it i can bring it to our weekly games :) also my Yang Yangs are medium stiff.

The uncle at etakoh also recommended the carlton powerflo 8800 but I end up buying a Yang Yang (also by his recommendation) .

Look at Victor, Prince, Carlton and Karakal.

Victor has a wide range for you to choose from, Carlton also pretty good range.

All the brands I mentioned have racquets that matched your requirements.

Thanks for all your reply...well i guess back then my mentality was YY it top of the chain should be good for me...guess I'm dead wrong...will try to play with my Carlton more often and replace those YY racket with more medium stiff or flex shaft.

Hey green blood u should try my Carlton Powerflo 8800 this friday nite...overall nice feeling...nice sound to (BG68Ti 26lbs).

One good thing of using those stiff YY is that it is good to built arm strength....

I bought in Sabah, so a bit expensive la, about Rm270. I heard at AJ racket only Rm220. The racket look like stiff, but when I make a smash , I feel like it bend a bit. Very good for control, but for smashing, I think Fischer magnetic tour is better ( I have this one too)

Ayie, are you born in 1976?? Still young ma, still can play laju :D

The Fischer racquets are not stiff, they are flexy and thin shaft.

Thats why I mention, Its "look like" stiff because of its "metal's" look. Might be because the colour is chrome
