    Hii guys,

    Sorry if I am reposting.
But do you guys know how to make your string last longer?

I been told that I could wax my string (after finish strung your new string)
with some wax. This will prevent or reduce the string scratch each other.

    You guys knew this?

Because yesterday I did wax my finished string.

This local stringing shops has string racket for about 2 decades now and the owner said I am the third person to know about this. cool ehh
Not until the 2nd person on the shops wax his racket, man I leak their secret to the world via this BCF :p

I've heard some other members from Indonesia talking about waxing the strings with candle wax before.. Not sure if this really works though.

Is there a way to make the tension hold longer ? :p

Yeah, about a couple years back some one told me to use the candle wax,
but yesterday the shop has a special wax, its honey comb (the bee house) but the hard one.

Yesterday I did wax my string LOL
    We'll see about it..

hi, since you familiar with Mr. Soh, could you let me know how he did the "main" stringing ? did he pull one by one ?

there was another popular stringer in Singapore, but he pulled always from top of the racquet, meant he pulled 2 strings to go .... by his digital electric machine.

    thanks ....

Since it's a consistent pull machine, it's ok to pull 2 mains at once. ;)

Try to execute a slice shot with waxed string and tell me how good it is. Also do a search on "WAX THE STRING" before you post.

    ha ? .....

I saw video of YY ES5Pro Machine which is considered the best machine in the world, the stringer pulls one by one ...... :D

back to "famous stringer", my friend said that he won't back to that stringer, simply because the string (YY Nanogy) is very loose .....

DOes that mean that waxing the string is not good? Is there any difference between the candle wax and the honey house? Has anyone tried that?

waxing the strings will affect their playability. Probably just make them stickier/grippier and affect delicate shots like drop shots. IMO i do not advise. Get a string you are happy with that meets your needs for playability and for durability. BG 70 is pretty good, and I can recommend that :)

I agree that waxing will adversely affect playability but not because it makes them grippier. It is the other way around-good strings are more grippy and waxed strings have much less grip (slippery). Strings with more filaments in the core, AOTBE, are grippier, more powerful, have less vibrations, have a softer feel, than those with less filaments.
