I also went to play at IMH once with CCK Sat team, last month. The light is so dark and wall is white. Quite difficult to see the shuttle flying.

As quite some of the Sunday players will be away from Singapore or have a long break in late Dec, I need to get a few new members to join us on Sunday. In future, will book 2 courts for Sunday game, 2-4pm in the afternoon. Too difficult to get court in the morning.

Actually not so strict. My purpose is just to let some of these real beginners know how a real high intermediate player is. We don't want to bring in beginners and got blamed by members. Please understand my intension to maintain a good quality team. Or the game will be less enjoyable for those regular players. Some of the new guys don't know how to tell if they are high beginners or high intermediates. Some new guys can't play a powerful forehand also claimed as high intermediate. This requirement is just to filter out those guys.

I agree with you a good double player may not need to have powerful back hand.

I am not a powerful player, neither have powerful back hand. Recently I have been playing 3-4 times a week to improve my skill to catch up.
