I am trying to put together a unit plan for badminton. I would like a incorporate tecnique with some fun games. I am only trying to teach the basics, like the backhand serve, net shot, clear, drop shot, and the smash (although I dont' really want to but all the kids will want to so I should show them anyways right) So if someone could give me some games and tecniques I would be very grateful. My age group or class room is for 5/6 split.

    Ok.
If your going to be teaching kids that will be able to reach full potential at their current age, just play games such as king of the court. Its a tennis game where everyone stands in a line and one side of the court is the king and the other the challenger. The winner of the rally stays in the court on the king side and the loser goes out and stands back in line. Often pride becomes an issue for even younger kids, therefore this method proves efficient for them to enjoy the game as well as learn.
