Retiring from BG-65, What next?
I'm prefer singles. I use a Carbonex 30 M. I string @ 24/25 lbs. since strings lose tension.
Why I'm retiring from BG-65.
- Good durability. Sure I'll save money, but not performance...
- I tend to notice I lose tension too quickly.

bg-80, bg-85 or ashaway micro power are good choices.
string, for me, prefer not to last long. 2-3 months is enough.

BG80 is very good. I'm trying the NBG95 right now, and I have yet to try BG85 or Ashaway MP.

NBG98 or BG80 are good choices if you dont mind the slightly higher prices of these strings, the performances gained is worth it imho...

I use a Cab30 too and BG80 @ 25lbs on it. It's been about 3 months so far (average 4 hours per week) and the string is still holding strong. I think you will be well served by the BG80 on the Cab30. The BG80 string pack recommends to lower the tension by 2 lbs but I am using a good 2lbs higher than my previous string/racket combo. As with all new strings, you will have to experiment for yourself to find the best balance for you.
I have tried the Ashaway MicroLegend but never the MP and prefers the BG80 to the ML. Of course, the MP and ML are different strings and personal preferences may vary. I think either will serve you better than BG65 :P.

BG80 will break easily. you should try NBG95 or NBG98.

tried BG80 before, but didn't last more than 1.5 months at 24 lbs. also tried BG65P, which gave very nice power. but, it didn't last more than 2 months at 24 lbs. went back to BG65 for now, and no breakage yet for the last 3 months at 26 lbs.
from other forum and recommendation, looks like NBG95 might be my next try.
