i saw alot of top player drink some red colour drink....or even blue colour during the 11 point resting.....just wonder what is those water?? me myself always prepared a 100 plus 1 hour before the games because to let the 100 plus not too cold....and this help me to gain some energy after drink it... So what about your???
Water + salt + sugar + carbon dioxide + refrigeration + pay money = 100 Plus Water + salt + honey + a dash of lime juice + no pay money = Better (with Vit C)
water, orange/blackcurrant cordial, lucozade, it doesn't matter really, its just about keeping yourself hydrated.
Drinking carbonated drinks during exercise is not recommended, as it can cause stomach cramps. I just drink water, but when I was rowing seriously then I drank some dissolved isotonic orangey stuff..
Carbonated drinks only give you energy for about 15 minutes before it makes you even more tired than before drinking it.
well, yeah same here. i drink water too. but before a game i usually drink an energy known here as bacchus and two cartons of chocolate milk. keeps me hyper and helps me move more. haha
so what is those top player taking drink actually?? i just found 100 plus does help me to gain energy...drink alittle of 100 plus then drink some water....3 hour games can't finish my 100 plus but do finish my 1 big bottle of water....
I can't afford gatorade or powerade... Costco has these kirland sports drinks for 50 cents each, does the same thing and reduces cramps for me.
a nutritionist friend of mine takes : -half orange juice (any juice with no added sugar works) -half water -a hint of salt says it works the same as gatorade, but less sugary she also mention that while gatorade is good, it is better diluted, as there is too much sugar in it. she recommends something like half gatorade half water.
