Hey, it seems to me that many people from this board live in richmond. I'm very eager to play any of you. Even though I'm kinda young, kinda really young, I'm pretty ok. Anywhere to play is fine, though I usually play around at steveston community centre (since it's close to where I live) and I drop in on mondays. I'm not sure if I want to go to VRC, since it's kinda far from where I live, and the courts are usually full. Almost any other community centre in richmond is fine though. Please play me, I'm so bored in this summer...
You Get Marky Hey Swordfish712, Marky can play with you at SACC but I believe he only attends Thursday's session. Anyway, if you wish to contact Marky and his pals feel feel to drop me a message.
At southarm? There's no drop-in, and the only programs available are for ages 12-14 (i can fit into that, but I don't want to), and ages 18+. I prefer to play people from 13-17, because those people usually are better than me, but not by too far. If you're really interested in my age, just check my profile. But I don't think that matters, I've been playing for so many years... Anyway, is this Marky age 18+? I wouldn't mind playing him, but I'm not sure if they'll let me play because I'm not old enough.
He's in his 40's?! But the program is only for 18+, and I'm not old enough, so I don't think they'll let me join...
Well . . . You will never know unless you try. Mention Peter to Anthony - as if the old bisket is still administering the program - and they might help you out.
Smashingbird, You mean David Thompson right? how much is it for drop in? What levels are people playing there?
Alrite, thanks Pete, I'll give it a try. BTW, Smashingbird, I know that there is a drop-in time at Thompson, but I don't want to go without an opponent. Do you play during that time? Because I enjoy playing new opponents.
i go dere sumtimes ...i already got ur icq.... so i will talk to u...yeah...the drop in is 2 bucks mp88...where did u get a mp88?..... the level varies by the way...i go to hugh boyd...wut skools u guys from?
try to get to the vrc although it is far from your location, if you can possibly make it to the vrc, i would recommend it. because of the summer members and juniors, i have found mondays and fridays extremely busy. but the other days though, usually between 11 to 2 not as bad, as matter of fact, yesterday Tuesday noon was relatively quiet - no court wait. you are more than welcome to play a game with me, or better yet, you can play my daughter. or i can arrange for you to play with other strong juniors as well. give me a shout if you are interested.
Pete: Thanks Pete, I am happy, I look 40's. I will treat you a lunch. Swordfish712: You can PM me if you want to drop in SACC. However, Games start 8 pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday (and ends 9:30 pm, pretty short session). There are good chance of drop-in if you come a bit earlier to queue up, like 7:45 pm. They allow the first 6 drop-ins. I would suggest you to sign up for the sessions. I think there are still available spaces and fees are prorated on the number of sessions left. You will find playing in SACC very enjoyable as badminton fans there are very friendly. (You can register online on the web) Certainly, I would be delighted to play with you and hope to see you tomorrow evening. Marky
This summer I am playing with a group at a church gym located at Shell Rd/Cambie Rd in Richmond. There are about 24 players with ages ranges from 14 onwards. If you like, you can drop in but the cost is $7.00 as it includes the feather shuttles. On average you play around 6 or 7 games. The session starts at 7:00pm and run till 10:00 pm on Wednesdays.
Ok, I have one more thing to say; I almost always play at steveston on Monday at 5:30. So if you want to find me, just go there.
It's worth a try!!! I think they are very lenient on the age part, just as long as you pay the $1 I think you can get in. The best part is that they set up the courts really early (like around 5 and before, and you can go there and have all 3 courts to yourself)! Try it at least, I think I've seen adults there before, but they might have got in because they were friends with the people that work there. GO!!!
