I am supposed to string a isometric 80, and i have been searching high and low for information regarding recommended string tension for this racket with no luck thus far...

...does anyone know the reccomended string tension for a Yonex isometric 80?

    thanks P.

My guess it would be 17-22lbs or 15-20lbs

is it isometric 80, or 80VF, or 80 light?

other than 80 light, the other two are 2U. the recommended tension are 16-18 lbs for the main, and 18 - 20 lbs for the cross.

guess should be 2 lbs lower for 80 light.

Powers, you are more than welcome!

that's the recommended tension, and normally you can go much higher than that. I put on 28 lbs on a AT500 (recommended to 24 lbs) without any problem.

I know I can go little higher, still I have to keep in mind that it is not my racket I will be stringing, even though i string on a gamma st-ll with six point mounting and a wise 2086, I am hesitant in taking risk with other peoples property, if it was my racket I might have strung it at 26lbs for the "fun" of it... ...but the racket looks healthy enough for 20/22, at least it's a a good place to start, and it will be a lot better than the last stringjob done on this racket, some brute had done a threepiece experiment on it... what some people will do to save a buck...
