How do you apply an overgrip? I searched the forum but there weren't any detailed posts. Is there a video that I can stream? And I saw this bad quality one that showed you to cut it at an angle at the end or something. Thxs.

If you don't mind, go buy a Yonex grip, they usually show you the method behind the package.

you dont have to do it that way..
easier will is use the rectangular part as bottom and use the sticky part on top, then you're done.

at the risk of hijacking... how do you manipulate the grip (cut it etc) when gripping all the way down the cone? Also, how do people make the sticky tape (at the top) neat.. mine normally looks like the bottom of a ballet dancer's tutu :(

The process should be the same for a badminton grip.

    Quik silver,
Do you cut the rectangular part at the bottom so it looks like the sticky side, making it easier to start off?

For the end of the grip (at the cone) the best way is to turn the racquet so the shaft is going horizontal from your view, then make a straight vertical cut up the grip (this will be a long cut) whilst you continue to turn it, making it triangle shaped like the beginning of the grip.

I just use duct tape so no1 notices :D

no there's no need for that. it's easy already to start off with the rectangular end.

I just use one of those nitto-tape stuff from MBS.. it's excellent.
Otherwise, I can cut an electrician's tape in half so that it's thinner.. and wrap it around.

1st, make the overgrip taper off diagonally
    2. don't use the whole tape, just make it 1 - 2 times around than cut it

this should ensure a clean edge

GGripping up to the cone because some people play drives by putting their thumbs to the cone for quicker shots

For towel grip, i always start taping it from the bottom of racquet handle, like this:

Do you apply grip fully over the cone or half cover the cone? Just curious...;)

I second the Nitto tape. It's nice and thin and clings just right for badminton grips. Electrical tape from Duck brand is my next choice (yes, cutting it to half the width too).
