the pictures arent very clear. how do they feel when you play? i used to have 2 thunderbolt II. one from singapore and the other i bought in jb. cant remember if they lok the same but they play the same. how about yours?
from your pics it seems the main difference is e wordings at the 3 and 9 oclock position of the racket.

but how do they play? once i bought a proace light (grey color racket). after searching the whoel rack, i couldnt find one that has a straight red line print vertically down the shaft. its suppose to be a straight line. same goes to my RSL. the 'fire; print is slanted on the shaft too.

so long as they play well, i dont think there is a need to worry.

what you need here is not a pro. you need another fella who rather spend all his/her time analysing a sub100 dollar racket than spend the time playing. then he would be able to tell you the 101 of fake racket. pros wont bother so long the racket plays well.

My take is that these may be just different iterations of the racket. For example, my friends TB3 doesn't use the "new grommet system" but the later batches of TB3's does.

Yeah, the factory produces stuff in batches, so i'm not surprised there would be some differences beetween them.

Well, TB2 remains my personal favourite among all the thunderbolts. I think it's also the longest running in the series. Too bad I prefer ovals hence my current choice of the Cab30. btw, the cab30 is almost the same price (in .sg) as the TB.

i used to swear by tb2. had 3 of them. but seriously, if you have an open mind and look around, there are alot of rackets much better than Tb2 at about the same price

I know what you mean... Proace is seriously overpriced here in Singapore. A friend got her TB5 at <RM200 in her home town when the asking price is S$160 here. Same with APACS where prices almost halved by crossing the causeway.
