hey i recently bought an armortec900t. before i bought it ive been using my friends armortec super brand limited edition and i love it. so i thought id get an armortec racket for myself. but it turned out to be too heavy for me and i dont like it. i find it hard to defend probably because of the head heaviness. the super brand is head heavy aswell but i have no problem defending with it.

anyways does anyone have any reccomendation for a lighter racke? if theres another racket exactly like the super brand i'll definitely buy it hehe. im open to all brands. a friend of mine told me that toalson have some light rackets but there isnt much review on it.

btw if anyone interested in an armortec900t, im interested in selling mine. i've only used it for a month and i play once a week. i probs used the super brand more than the at900t in that month anyway. its 3u g5. i'll give good price hehe. i live in jakarta

The lightest racquet is probably the Karakal SL 70.. a bit too light maybe :p

Correct. The Karakal MTec 70 is the same weight, but isometric.

Yeah, it does. But IMO, the MTec 80 tattoo limited edition is nicer.

You gotta be kidding me... Armortec too heavy?! I'd say it's too bad Yonex didn't make a 2U version of the AT900. AT900T got excellent defend and it's definitely light.

Why not hold on to your AT900T and do some weight training on your arms before letting it go. It's an excellent racquet you know.

The AT900T is a great racket, but if he doesn't get on with it, it's not a good racket for him. Perhaps a little more time could be needed, but if he feels he needs another racket and that racket needs to be stupidly light, there are only 2 choices are Karakal 70 rackets, either SL for oval head, or MTec for iso head.

There are Apacs rackets that are 6U so that should be light enough for you.

Before you sell it have you tried experimenting with lead tape to make it less head heavy. Surely it's worth a try since you have bought the racket allready.

Also, if you like do like the AT900T racketbut maybe you should have a quick play with a 4U version. Worth a try perhaps.

I switched from a 5U Ashaway Nano Superlight (headlight/flexible) to now a 3U Cab30 (balanced/slightly stiff). I defend much better with my 3U Cab30. Lightness and moving the racket around certainly plays an important part in defending but I believe there are more aspects to it than just the racket weight and balance.

How are you "not defending" as well? Did you reach the shuttle? If you did not, is it a problem of positioning? If you are not getting back into position, is it because you are more tired or due to the previous shot being intercepted? If you did reach the shuttle, where exactly does the problem lie? Not being able to lift high enough or lack of control in your drive or block?

The AT900T is a very capable racket but not suitable for everyone due to its stiffness. With sufficient skill, most players will be able to wield it quite well. You might want see if reducing your string tension helps.

I will have problems defending with a 500US$ Racket!...

About the light rackets, I believe some people in BC said a lot about Karakal. But if you liked Armortec, AT700 4U, which is said to be bad in durability, you can still have a benefit of offense and defense.

when i use the at900t, im finding that i react slower. like my head is already thinking of wat to do but the racket is jst a fraction late but i dont have that problem with the superbrand. most of the problem is when im in a driving battle at the net or defending in doubles coz u need quick swings and flicks of the wrist. its jst not happening.

ive never heard of this karakal before. do they sell in indo? i think if i buy a racket again i'll get an even balanced or a head light racket. thinking about apacs new trium 35. theres a guy at my court who uses it. seems good and cheap enough.

This sentence makes no sense. Yonex would be the most valuable not Apacs. Apacs would be one of the highest bang for your bucks

In case you are not already doing so, shift your grip up the racket. Check also that you are in fact comfortable with the racket grip size.

btw, what's the string and tension?

iceshoc, how much are you selling the AT900T ? If the price is good, I can consider getting it from you as I am going to Jakarta next week.
