    hmm, time flies so fast.:D
now lets move on to the next day..the final of the hong kong open ss 2008;)
below are my prediction for the final round.

    xd- xzb/zyw vs lyd/lhj
although the korean pair have the edge in this match, but i believe that this chinese pair will surely give the olympic champion some hard time there:cool:

ms- chen jin vs lin dan
hmm, will we see another ss win for lin dan or the other way round?:D
anyway, let the master Li decides for sure!:D

    ws- xxf vs wang chen
xxf has been doing quite well in this tournament...
i think this final should be totally dominate by xxf...
but wang chen is also a very unpredictable player..
just as she eventually upsets the world number 1, zhou mi in the semi final.

    wd- sc/zyl vs zyw/ztt
this should be a very tight game..both pairs must be knowing each other's game so well...but i believe that the pair of zyw/ztt have the edge..this match outcome also will also have to see zyw physical and mentally are still strong or not in this match and also in order to be next gao ling in making:cool::D:D

    md-zakry/faruzizuan vs lyd/jjs
although the odds are highly against the malaysians in this match, i still thinks that the mas duo can still fight for the gold.
i would love to see this game to 3 sets ..
and also will be waiting to see this 2 malaysian smashing power..this match will be full of smashing sound if we watch the game imo..;)
    :D
i would rate this match 40-60

    here's my prediction

Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen (CHN) vs Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo jung (KOR) : 50%-50%

Chen Jin (CHN) vs Lin Dan (CHN) : 40%-60%

Xie Xingfang (CHN) vs Wang Chen (HKG) : 55%-45%

Cheng Su/Zhao Yunlei (CHN) vs Zhang Yawen/Zhao Tingting (CHN) : 49%-51%

Mohd.Zakry/Mohd.Faruzizuan (MAS) vs Lee Yong Dae/Jung Jae Sung (KOR) : 45%-55%

just a little bit dissapointed that in MD that KKK/TBH lost..
it should be interesting to see them play againts JJS/LYD again

No indonesia representative in the final.. How KKK/TBH lose? They have already beat the olympic champion.. For the final, will LYD get 4 titles in 2 ss? It will be awesome..

Some very close matches on paper, harder to call than one thinks. Eventually winners should be:
    MS - LD
    WS - XXF
    MD - LYD/JJS
    WD - ZYW/ZTT
    XD - LYD/LHJ

I won't be around for the final so everyone have a good time. :)

Chen and LD had very interesting and tough battle at the OG
I remember the second point of the match was about 1:45 min rally..

I think Chen knows how to play with LD
But.. I suspect LD is also ready for Chen)

XD - Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung over Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen - a tougher battle than the one against HHB/YY is expected, but the Olympic Gold pedigree will prevail.

WS - Xie Xingfang over Wang Chen - Even crowd support may not be enough for Wang Chen.

MS - Lin Dan over Chen Jin - No need for Lin Dan to cite "miraculous" injuries as the reason for him to lose All-England, ABC anymore.

WD - Zhang Yawen/Zhao Tingting over Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei - tactically adept seniors show their juniors a thing or two.

MD - Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae over Mohd Fairuzizuan Tazari/Mohd Zakry Abd Latif - Malaysian pair can only beat them if all their trickshots are working.

I'm gonna miss the finals again, now the wife wants to see our new house .....

Come to think of it, not a bad idea, since I was told the commentator for Astro will be THAT GUY.

Hope Gill Clark will be coming to KK for the finals, hate to see the live telecasts destroyed by terrible commentating. They might as well hire me for the job ...... wakakakaka.

I think what he tries to point out is that lately matches have been fixed by China and even LYB admitted that himself. The semifinal match between LD-Chen Jin was played in a moderate pace and despite the duration of the rallies people got an impression of both players werent performing to their maximum. Lowering the pace normally makes you able to keep the shuttle going for longer without getting hit by fatigue.

Lin Dan clearly stood a better chance against LCW/LHI than CJ, why if it was a fixed match would be logical to let him through to the final.
