    Hello

    I'm looking for a new badminton racquet. I am an intermediate/advance player. I was recommended the Arcsaber 10 from my friend but it seems a bit lacking in power. I know, I have read threads about Arcsaber 10 about how long it takes to adjust to it but I'm afraid that moment will never happen to me.

    My price budget is NZ$260.00. I can turn my defence into offense very well. I don't really mind about the weight because the armortec seires seemed too light for me lol:). My smashes are very fast.(Preferably Yonex or Apacs:eek:)

    Pls give me some advice

    3U Armortec too light for ya ? Then you wouldn't want any of the high-end YY racquets.

    Try a training racquet then. Forza, Mizuno, Ashaway and Yang Yang makes training racquets.

    For 260NZD.. you should be able to purchase an NS9KS/X.. They're powerful, yet maneuverable. You can try adding some lead-tape to the frame to make it heavier.

    Why not try to test out the racquets? At least go to a store and see if you can swing them around a bit, to get a sense of what you're putting yourself into. I found the ARC10 to be pretty powerful, like none of the high end Yonex racquets are lacking in power.

    Well, maybe try 2U version of the Arc10 and see if it still lacks power. Add lead tape if you still need more power and lower your string tension if you need an extra bit more of power.

    soz, in my first statement. I was not supposed to write "armortec series was to light for me". I meant it just felt light. I actually don't mind the weight of the racquet. I don't mind Nanospeeds or anything thats light aswell :)

    I believe the pro-shop at Gillies Avenue sells the AT700 for 260NZD.

    what about AT700ltd. It's a beast out of the beast.
    I tried this racket already, the power is awesome.

    if your budget isn't enough try to find 2nd hand one.

    Well, seems you're pretty good in defence in many racket. Arc10 is a "balanced" type racket. It has good control, defence, offense. Actually you can defend a lot easier with this. And your offense won't be monotone, you won't be focused on firing barrage.

    If you're not a player with this typo, you might want to consider the other options. NS9000 series for a defence, or AT700 for offense. There are other choices as well, I'll make my own opinion.

    Defense -> Offense

    NS9000 > Arc7 > Arc10 > AT900T > AT900P > AT700

    These are my conclusion from people's opinion in the forum. I myself only had the Arc10. Maybe you should check DinkALot's Racket reccomendation. He's got a complete range of choice, not just from apacs and yonex. But yes, he has them too. Good Luck.
