Has anyone out there tried Wilson Shuttles and what did you think. Their top grade is called Topline 100 in a red and white box at approx €18(12)

just make 1 thread to discuss these things. in the US, its $24-25+ for an Aerosensa 50 tube. you can get aeroplane blacks for $21ish, so The Aerosensas are kinda expensive. however, the Wilson toplines are $23 dollars, so they don't really make a different unless you buy in huge bulks.

Well, I tried them, and liked them so far. Might be a good batch also. Durable and good flight, cheaper than yonex too. Unlike the previous reincarnation(Wilson Tournament), which suffered terrible durability problems.

Our club uses them, and they suck. They're much less durable than AS30s.

i bought wilson topline 100 for £13 and 80 for £11 respectively in London.

The 80s are OK they last roughly one game of mensdouble and are still in pretty good shape to use in warm ups.

Just tried the 100s today in singles today, they are excellent in flight & durablity. played 2 games of 21 with a single shuttle and not had 1 feather shed. the cork was still INTACT in good shape!

I steamed these shuttles about once a week and leave them in the bathroom so not sure if that helped. but hell i know what shuttles i will be spending my money on from now.

Agree with tinshuttle, Just played with the Wilson 100's tonight and surprised by the great durability and flight.

We used to use AS-30's, but the price has gone through the roof of Yonex.

I got them for around 18 USD (discounted from 20, but I think the price rose) before. These birds still pretty good, they're somewhat like RSL #1's, but they fly just a bit further. I would rate them as higher than AS-30. Steaming these shuttles maximizes their performance. They're quite an improvement over their previous top of the line shuttles.

If you get the wilson topline 100 (TL100) and steam/hydrate them, they will perform just as well as yonex as40/50, Chester, Hiqua Red. They may lack a little durability versus their counterparts, but I find durability changes greatly batch to batch. The TL80s are a good option too, but are definitly a grade lower. TL60s are rather cheap but all wilsons fly straight. IMO TL60= as20 or less, TL80=as30, and TL100= as40/50. Wilson is doing a great job penetrating the badminton market.

wilson shuttles use a half rubber cork where as yonex shuttles have a full cork this is another reason why yonex are better note see new yonex catalogue

I don't know if that is 100% true that wilsons use half rubber cork still at this point or not. However, that is besides the point. The full cork in Yonex makes no remarkable difference between the Wilson birds. Yonex birds are not worth the money when you compare them to other birds with the same flight quality and durability such as wilson, victor (my favorites) and RSL.

Too right! Yonex are great but at around £18 - £20 per tube they are too much.

Wilsons play similar to AS30's and they are about £6 cheaper.

Cork - rubber - concrete.....as long as they play well who cares?
