Guys, I may change the court format from 1 x 3 Hours Court to 2 x 2 Hours Court to cater 14 players per session. I would like to listen to your opinion. Any comments are welcome.

Maybe you can book 1 court x 3hrs and 1 court x 1hr(this court should be at the center of the timing, for example 5 to 8pm then book this court at 6-7pm)

KTTan, Thanks for your call, will try out this model first as shown;

For example: Court 1 : 5-8PM & Court 2: 6-7PM

The equation is 3 Hours + 1 Hour (in the middle of 5-8PM) = 4 Hours Total.

This may solve the problem of some players may be late on the first hour and some players maybe too tired on the third hour.

In order for us to sustain the cost of court rental and shuttlecocks, (Court Rental: 7.4 x 4 Hours = $29.6 + Shuttlecocks: $23 for Carlton AG 9.9, may increase soon), we need at least 10 players (Total expenses: $52.6/10 = $5.26) and maximum 12 players.

As for the playing mode, we will only play 21-Points Double, the winner pair for the first game played can stay for another game whereas the loser pair will be replace / substitute with the waiting pair on the bench. Unless the winner pair would want a rest. The winner pair will have leave court for the next waiting pair no matter win / lose to give others a chance to play on the second game they played.

Freezing, usually 8 players can only sustain in 1 x 3 Hours court. And the problem now is that I will have to cater to court for 10-12 players as I have around 6 Regulars that's the reason why I would need to get a solution.

In the event that we want to increase the number of hours played to 4 Hours with only 8 players, we will have to increase from $5/player to ~ $7/player.

Actually my initial intention of opening this thread is to get some people who will play with us on a regular basis. For example, someone will play each session and won't miss too many session in a roll. If I can do that, I will consider to close this thread, unless we might one to get someone for other purposes liked knowledge sharing, skill exchange, enlarge our network (in case someone drop out last minute, can still get a replacement), etc.

Peng73, you are right. I am trying to balance out my team members so that everyone joining would be happy and enjoy each session for not being over-charged, over-crowded, too much level difference, etc. And thanks so much for bringing your friend, Tanta58. For XD hah?

Just thought I login for a look. Wow, many new
members I see. Great, look forward to meeting you guys
on 17/1/09.

Since I'm here, just thought I mention something.
We are here to play and have fun. Winning or loosing
dun really matter. The real objective is to have fun and
to get to know all you badminton lovers out there, whether
you are beginner, intermediate or advance player. We do not
tolerate players who frown on other less skillful players or make
negative remarks after loosing a match.
Sorry for being so serious organiser, but just thought I make a point here

And also a special thanks to Li and Tan who constantly gave us some pointers.
