My Setup Standard 6 pt mounting Now for my modifications I cut out a 3/8 inch Delrin sheet to fill one of the existing holes on the side arm to widen the gap between the side supports (SP badminton side supports) for better frame protection I trimmed down a Silent Partner L bolt to fit the existing hole of the 12 and 6 o'clock post to create a hold down mount at the 12 and 6 o'clock position, and used load spreaders I didn't use the other Delrin cutouts for the throat side because obviously I was not actually stringing this racket I've been using this type of mounting with my Alpha Revo, now I have any angle constant pull to make it a more consistent string job A tip for people who use 2 pt hold down mounting. You can cut a straw lengthwise on one side and slide it down the threads to protect your strings when removing the racket
Excellent mod there! Please shoot up close to the tension rod. I would like to see the tension scale. Thanks!
Nice photos... I also use load spreaders with my clamp down holders. However, I've found that the load spreaders are just sitting slightly above the racquet trim, therefore the clamp down holders are clamping onto the spreaders instead of the racquet. I've found this results in a slight "play". Therefore I'm trimmed my load spreaders to make them a bit shorter (decreasing the height). Now, the clamp down holders actually clamps onto the racquet frame making the mount more stable.
Yes they are, I had them when I using the Revo. 1 is Eagnas, and the square looking one is an older version of Alpha (I don't know what their new one looks like). The Eagnas need very careful adjustment to get just right, otherwise they flatten the strings.
KO, where did you purchase the delrin sheet or block? I have another idea now! We can use the delrin sheet to make specialized U grommets for the ARC and AT series. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62423
That's a very nice machine set up you have there! Do those Custom Derlin Sheet fitment's move around much once they're installed? Where did you order them from? My Carving skills are not that delicate yet!!! Hmmmmm....
maybe can ask this supplier .... http://www.aefsports.com/en/products.asp?currType=108&BigclassCode=108
Stock clamps are tennis clamps. In one of the pics, there is a brown box on the second shelf... I think you can see it there. There was a seller on ebay that sells scrap pieces. Just search delrin acetal and you should find a few sellers. The one I got was a 4 x 4 in. piece (which is more than enough), and was only $6 USD plus shipping. I used a hacksaw to cut out the outer edges, then used a rotary tool to clean it out and trim it down for a snug fit. Out of the 4 that I made, there is one that moves around a little... but because the SP side supports come with bolts at the bottom to keep the supports from moving, then the Delrin fitments barely move. I got them over a year ago. I asked Steve at SP if they sell it separately, and luckily they did. I think I paid $40 USD including shipping. The side supports I got a couple of months ago, and they were $60 USD including shipping.
Thanks! I have visited this site before but they are a manufacturer. I don't think they will do tiny orders.
i can try to help you get it from China if you want. i have no idea how long will that take. i am not selling it i just need it as well. is the part you need MP-L14 floating support http://www.aefsports.com/en/products.asp?currType=108&BigclassCode=108
you should check carefully, for the machine type ..... I have Eagnas Combo-912, and it is looked like similar to AEF Egret-300X, so from the part-list, it should be MP-L10 ...
MP-L10 is for Clamp tightly the outside frame of racquet 2/4/8/10 clock ( tennis/badminton racquet) not 6 and 12 cheers
looking for the explanation is yes, but from the picture is different. so, I believe in picture ... for 2/4/8/10 are either MP-K10 or MP-K20 for my machine (Eagnas Combo 912, similar to Egret 300X) but, anyway, that's your choice ......
Guys, sorry for the outburst. I would recommend moving a good portion of the discussion from this thread to: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49615 and merge http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49615 with http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54858 There maybe other threads of similar nature in the Stringing Techniques & Tools. We will find them sooner or later . . .
