I just watched HKOPEN MS Final, the match is between LinDan and ChenJin. I didn't see the fast pace and the sudden acceleration from LD at all. Not the same LD when he played against Taufik.

How many people think LD gave the 1st place away?

    the answer is simple actually.

A1. TH doesn't play like CJ
A2. reason of lost is similar to that of why kkk/tbh lost to FUZZY, and XXF lost to WChen.

if kkk/tbh smash more they should win, if XXF run faster, she should win....

Hard to be great every match

At the top level there is not a lot of difference in players ability....winning is a lot mental and LD like all great players will find it hard to get UP for every match...some days your game just dont work the way you want...:D

The 3rd set LD made so many errors, easy errors like hit it long, hit it outside. I see no desire in him to catch up, unlike when he played against Taufik...

Agree, it's hard to get UP for every match at the top level. But when playing teammates, there' s very little 'mental' involved;they train enough to know each other's game so well there's no guessing needed.
LD looked like he played at n-2 gear with CJ.You think he would play this way if LCW had been in the final? LD would probably shift into n+2 gear against LCW to take no chances.(n denoting normal)
LD's loss helped to boost CJ's confidence, much needed since CJ 's form's been rather poor the last few tournaments.
Or LD's been generous to LCW. If LD had won, I would have thought LD would overtake LCW by a whisker to retake WR1 spot.Well,BAM maths was better this time.

    of course no..
if lin dan were to really gave away this hkopen ms final, then he will be just gave it away..example: concede a withdrawal..;)
but he did play his normal game that day and eventually lost to cj in 3 sets.

LD didn't look so great vs CJ on the final, but it was a close fight. Maybe LD underestimate what his teammate.

Sure it is........but i just feel pity for CJ..........he has qualitfied to Olympic 08 with LD help...not with his own hard work efforts....although he has the ability to do so........and in other ways.....he has to gave way in order to make sure his team wins titles.......and when he won a title............people tends to questioned about his win.........:crying::crying::crying:

I think CJ also not feeling good about it either!......as a world class badminton player.......he wanted to play to win...even has to play againts team mates........to play to qualified....but not with team mates helps.........with 100% sportmanship..........but its reality.....he has to obey team decisions......its really hard for him.......just pity him....:eek:
