I need help choosing a racket, right now I'm leaning towards the Armortec 900T, I'd maybe choose the Arc10 but i like the head heaviness of the Armortec 900T. Any more suggestions on what racket to buy? I currently have no limit on budget but anything under 200 is fine (I can buy the Armortec 900T for 200$) I'm semi-serious about badminton. I play around 2 hours, 3 times a week. I'm not really Pro but more like Advance-intermediate. I've tried the Armortec 900T already. I just want a comparison of the Armortec 900T with your racket of choice. (ie: Your present favourite/go-to/main racket)
I uses to play with an AT900T for 1 year, after i have slam it on the ground(not intensionally) and it's breaks at 8' clock. I owned the 4U/G4 version und can 100% say that this racket is indeed not head heaviness. It is more even balance, maybe because i have put on 2 layers of overgrip. But i have rip of the original grip to make it thinner. Now i have tested the ARCS10 3U/G4. At the beginning it feels very Head heavy or rather Heavy overall. I can't get use to it. But i would say it is a matter of time until you have adjust to it. Nevertheless i have already order it. Greet
Wow... That must've sucked hitting it to the ground like that O___O Yeah maybe it's because of the overgrips, cause when I used the Armortec 900T it seemed head heavy. Do you have any other rackets i should look into? I'm debating on the Armortec 900T and pretty much any other racket (that's on par with it) O_O
It depends on what ur style is. If your a accurate shot maker, trying to put every shot u can where u want it. i'd choose the AT900T although if your an all around player who wants to try different stuff and be pretty good at power and other, you should choose the ARC10. If your a singles player i recommend the AT900P or the AT700
I'm more of the accurate doubles shot maker... If i were to go between the At900T and the Arc10 I'm still leaning towards the At900T because it feels more head heavy and my smashes seem faster.
It seems that you have tried a few racquets, at least the AT900T and ARC10 ? Since you like the AT900T, you should go for that. Of course we can recommend more models that in our opinion/experience is similar but it doesn't mean that you will like it. Also remember you need to spend more time trying to out the models we recommend (may not be possible as you may not have friends that has it) and may end up going back to the AT900T. I believe you are 80 - 90% confirm on the AT900T but you want the additional 10 - 20% assurance that the AT900T is a good choice. For that extra percentage of assurance vs the time/effort spend, I don't think it is worth it.
Yeah your right about being 80-90% confirmed on the At900T but I'm in no rush to get a new racket...I have maybe a week to a month before I'll purchase it. I just need that extra assurance that the At900t is a good choice as you said. Thanks, I'm not sure if any of my friends have them though >_< I'll just go and see how it feels atleast. One of them might have it though.
Max - I think you have it spot on. AT900T is genreally easier for smashes as it is head heavy and ARC 10 is not. I have a 4u and 3u AT900T and find it fantastic as a doubles racket with good smashing qualities and defence.
Thanks for your opinion! I'm thinking more of buyign the 4U model right now, since I like to do the Smash and Jump smashes sometimes but right now my doubles partner isn't used to switching to side to side when on defence so i'm stuck in the front of the court defending Right now I'm using a 2U racket I'd like the lightness of a 4U or 3U. What should i choose though? The 4U or 3U racket? Apparantly the 4U is still very good for smashing (According to Dink's review)
See my post in the other thread of yours, It's not THAT different in durability, to be honest i find myself using the 4u more than the 3u because though my defence is better with the 4u. Smashing wise both 3u and 4u smashes are easily powerful enough.... I usually use 3u for singles or in matches were i get stuck at the base line like XD.
Lol XD Ok so its settled I'm going to get the 4U model! Plus i play more doubles. What do you play your 4U with? I'm guessing doubles because your using more your 4U but you use 3U for singles. So yeah... Your using your 4U for doubles right? When i buy my racket I'm going to use it for doubles.
