Does anyone have any experience with Aeroplane feathers?

Our club is looking for an alternative to Yonex this season.

    Thanks

The black one is as good as AS40 or better. It is just price is almost high as Yonex too...

have you tried the others in the range?

we currently use AS20, so something similar would be good...

    thanks

Red (G1130) is close to as good as the AS20. However, the performance to price ratio is better for AeroPlane red than AS20 if you can get AP red at discount level.

I believe Red means Super Grade, or SG1130, and G1130 is the Green label one.

price wise, SG1130 (red label) is about the same as that of Yonex AS-20, and G1130 (green label) is about US$1.50 lower for each tube.

As far as performance, the green label one (G1130) is pretty good and durable for normal club play. they are very consistant as well. we never had to adjust the speed or test the shuttle before the game. we normally get about 1 game out of one bird, and we have DRY winter here. during summer time, it will last a bit longer than 1 game, maybe 1.5 to 2 games for each shuttle.

You can try the DNA Shuttles from www.badmintonsupplies.net. Try the Red and Green labels. They are as good, if not better then AS40 or AS 50.

the aeroplane black (e-G1130 i believe) are top notch. here around 18-19USD a dozen

the flight path is really good, and is fairly stable throughout the life of the bird (until a feather flies off, etc). i would say as flight is as good as the high end yonex ones (as40/50) and defintely more durable.

    www.shuttles.com,

If you buy more to save shipping charge, you will get Red ones less than $20. The Black ones are out of stock.

The material used is as well as Yonex.
But the precision of manufacture sucked.
IMO, totally a waste of good material.

Since my club members have very good experience with Aeroplane shuttles, but don't mind to look for a lower price option, could you share some experience with us?

from what you said, looks like you may have some inside to this.

Aeroplane has good durability but poor playability.
Go for Yonex counterparts for better playability at near cost.
Since they used the best material available, there's no other brands can excel in both playability and durability with near cost.
If you can accept poorer durability, MMOA and VICTOR makes some OK birdies.

we played both Yonex (AS 10, 20, 30, and 50) and Aeroplane (G-1130, SG-1130 and EG1130) ones before. We found they are just about the same as far as the playability and durability goes. BUT, Aeroplane ones are at much lower price in USA here.
