Hv u ever thought that good coaches never spoke abt their players, organisation or parents to the public. They even avoid parents let alone public.
1st, what he claimed that BAM planned to extend the contract with him but he refused...

2nd, i do not mean that the parents actually interfere the program/selection, but indirectly pressure given by them to coaches...... The situation is not like china, whereby the coaches has the veto power to do whatever they think is good for the players......

3rd, he is actually not speaking to public... Just the conversation between me and him.

He did actually leads well the jr from the current country he serve, i am quite suprised and impressed with the performance given by the jr, which saw by my own eyes...

No matter what, better than Ow/Yew combo as Chooi have the experience of playing in last yr's WJC as 2nd BD. Just that last year, over shadowed by Mak/Teo.

And yes, I remember you did say you prefer Ow/Yew combo, why ah? Next year Ow partner back Yew, we see if those two improve.
because they been overshadowed by mak/teo,not much exposure chance for them,so,less experience
and ow/yw participate lot MORE tournament than chooi do
different experience but skill wise,i prefer chooi
    and yes,next year,ow will be better^^

limsy, I must admit yes, I made my judgement after watching them on court/ playing with their handphones etc on the bench on television. I certainly dont have the 'credentials' in badminton like you. I dont have 10,000++ postings in over a year or pics with shuttlers etc.

But having said that, seriously, I think TIME will tell and if I am proven wrong (which I really doubt ), I will be more than happy to eat em' humble pies.

There is no right or wrong btw u both, since u guys are actually commented based on what u've heard, seen, and understand. Btw i like pemuda's comment on the last sentence, coz that's the time we all Msian wish to c, whereby Msian JR are able to stand on the world in the near future.

As such, should our juniors not make the grade, it is all BAM's fault?

    Anyway, I respect your opinion.

Default BAM looking at junior shuttlers to boost quality

    http://www.bam.org.my/index.php?opti...=1502&Itemid=1

BAM's first move was to hire Indonesia's singles coach Hendrawan but he has been left to work with the back-up shuttlers who have been stagnant for several years.

who is the one who stand out and say:dont touch my player, when li mao is asking for a few youngster to train?
    short sight

"Zulfadli is the only player outside our programme and it will benefit him greatly if he joins the national junior squad's full-time training. In fact, he is our best prospect and if he trains full time, he should be able to win the World and Asian Junior titles next year.

    fuiyoh!
    so confident?
as if others country is easy meat
oh,sorry,i dont think i saw u watch any ajc 2009 games
i take back my word if u went to kedah and watch wjc 2009
oh wait,i remembered,u appear only when team and individual final right?

actually Zulfadli have good potential if the parents allowed him to join the national training. Zulfadli is an intelligent boy who knows what he wants.

He is a polite boy with no air around him. Meet him during WJC and he gives me some very good impression. He is different from the rest of the boys. He spend alot of time watching players games from other country.

I think what he needs is to build his body strenght and improve on his physical stamina. he will be somewhere. He is the best bet for the next year AJC and WJC and Olympics Youth.

I think what the parents fear is that their son will not be given equal chance and he has to be the better than the national trainees.

I believe there are plenty more of young shuttlers are in the same level as zulfadhli if they are given a chance to play or coaches from BAm take the initiative to scout out. Just look at LCW for example.

mas can't just rely on ZZ alone though.
