It proved that LYD/JJS could not win BIG titles.....are they still dominating MD so far? I do not think so...but great match and they still can try again next year in Paris..

No no no....you are wrong Hau-Ge

As I posted in the other thread, it's still pretty obvious that the DOMINATING KOR pair still remains as the STRONGEST MD since 2008:
    JUNG/LEE -- 15/20 (75%)
    FU/CAI -- 8/13 (62%)

    The stats don't lie right?

..they did win & have securely pocketed the 2008 AE title. I'd consider the AE as one of the 3 major individual baddy titles..

that's right. AE is one of the big 3 Majors aside from the team events.
I do not, for a second, doubt LYD/JJD's big match mentality.
And yes, that W/L stat pretty reflects how strong they are.

    There's always next time.
No worry LYD, still 20 ya.

Go find a GF and enjoy your youth a little, will ya?
Still got lots of time to dominate.

    He's turning 21 this year

Meanwhile, Liliyana Natsir won her first WC before she turned 20

I can't help but to highlight the "not-to-be-mentioned" words

FYI mister, the last word of the highlighted sentence has recently become one of my favorite words.

    Can't agree more.
    Let's see...
Assuming he plays till age of 30, he still got 9 WC, 4 TC, 5 SC, 10 AE, 2 OG, and tons of SS!

Can someone do the honor of posting last night stats? I love stats

We can see that the KOR indeed DOMINATED, but despite the DOMINATION, they still could not avoid defeat. Ironic really....

    Aye-aye, mister.

The match really went down to the wire.
Great match. However, the loss was very painful, indeed.

So close, yet so far away....To me, it's better to lose in semi final than been two-time World Runner Up.....

Luckily, Kido/Hendra already won the WC and Beijing Olympics Gold. As I mentioned in the other thread, I doubt if they can beat Fu/Cai and Jung/Lee if they competed in the WC this year.

Both pairs deserve the applause and credits for such a thrilling and nail-biting end to the World Championships! Luck went to the CHN pair and despair to the KOR pair (for the 2nd time in a row).

I am still gutted abt KOR pair's defeat....

I did write many times in several threads that it will be UNTHINKABLE if the KOR pair could not win yet another WC despite their COMPLETE DOMINANCE over the top MD pairs in the World....but it turned out that it was still not to be....sigh.....

I thought the rule of thumb proposed is "head-to-head stats is a better way to prove one's dominance than number of titles achieved"?
