Hi, i was just wondering if there were any apacs rackets that are similar in feel and balance of a victor arterytec ti-98? Since i know that most people here don't use victor (or at least it seems that way), it's a medium stiff 3u G3 (though their g3 feels like a yonex g4/5) with an even balance. mine might be 288-290mm since its been modified a bit. It feels solid and a bit slower than supernano pro 7 (also victor). its got more power than LX858 and supernano pro 7 as well as (for my feel) arcsaber 7. all the rackets are 3U. I was looking at apaccanada since they seem so much cheaper and i've read some good reviews about apacs. as for the style of player i am. I'm an attacking doubles player with a decent smash. i love playing back court and i find that i generate most power with moderately head heavy rackets that are about as stiff as at800df (that used to be my favorite racket till it broke, now i'm looking for cheaper rackets as my ti-98 might break soon >.<). Are there any rackets that are similar to the arterytecti-98? preferably ones that aren't any more head light. thanks for all your help =]
I think Apacs has alot of racquet that fits your requirements. Check this out : http://www.apacssports.com/
i know. but being a newcomer to apacs i have no clue where to start. what's considered low end/high end and which slightly head heavy rackets produce decent power?
Yeah it's hard isn't it? there are no charts or summaries to help out... I even started a thread on this but =( Sorry the only really way is to click on the rackets... try www.apacscanada.com There are fewer rackets on that site...
if u like to smash and having a head heavy racket...AMP95/90 or VH1800 may fix u....=)...try to look for this 3 racket for Apacs.. AMP95/90 = Armor Muscle Pro 95/90 VH1800 = Visible Hollow 1800 hope tis help =)
I could really recommend Pro Furious 1000/2000 PF1000/2000 are extremely good rackets!! Very nice power+control, stiffness (not up there with Tetracross 700 though ) /Twobeer
haha, thanks. yea i checked apacscanada. how are the edgesabers? i might check the AMP90 out. dont' want it too stiff now =]
edgesabers seem to be a generic carbon racket with the arcsaber paint job. Nothing wrong with them but nothing special about them
ah i see. what do you think are the most popular apacs rackets? i'm looking for a good balance between power and defense.
I play the AT900T because i wanted a balance between power and defence... From clicking every racket on the APACS Canada site i found that the Visible Hollow 1700 and Furious 60 would most likely fit the bill. AMP 88 would also work as well. Basically any racket with a 290bp should be ok. Aero x section will also help with the defence part.
sorry to bring this thread up again, but was wondering if the AMP90 was stiffer than at at800of or at700? because i like head heavy, but i never liked the at700 nor at800off i like the 900t. could you give a general comparison in stiffness and headheaviness to the at900t/800de, at700, or any other yonex rackets?
read dinkalot's review. it should explain a lot. also, look at Apacs Canada, they should give a stiffness index.
Having used AMP90 after looking for a 2nd racket which I already sold off and using AT700 now. AMP90 shaft stiffness is comparable AT700 but it does not compare at the head heaviness. AT700 is way much more head heavy. AMP90 feels a little hollow and lighter compared to AT700. Eventhough AT700 shaft is rated extra stiff by Yonex but might be due to the head heavier the shaft feels stiff not extra stiff where as AMP90 shaft feels stiffer where the head is lighter. If you like AT900T with its slightly lighter head compared to AT700, then I think you will definitely like AMP90. The biggest difference between AT900T and AMP90 would be their shaft diameter. I don't know whether this would make a difference but it does a little to me that is . AT900T is 7mm while AMP90 is 7.6mm. Therefore AMP90 have a thicker shaft.
Attacking.. Offensive players should consider these :- Lethal 50 Tantrum 200 NanoPRO 9900 Nano9000 Tour Sp AMPro series Thanks to the rally point system, game play is faster and you will pay for your error. You need a solid .. fast and good at control racket. Smash only when you have high % shot. If you really like smashing. . ... Lethal 35, 30... VH1800 give you excellent power...
wow, thanks guys. so many more options. still leaning towards amp90 though. i'll consider before trying to purchase one.
hahahha ...LOL The good thing about Apacs is ... They are much cheaper and you can try more for sure...... .....
