i have an armortec 900p and i was thinking of getting the nanospeed 9000s. i am offensive based but i can also defend when needed. so i was wondering whether it would be hard adjusting to the ns9ks?

    NS9k is head-lighter than your AT900P

do you happen to know if it's a lot lighter than the AT900? is it easy to adjust to?

i prefer a stiff racquet. i've also tried my friend's as10 and i didn't like it that much.

if u like stiff, go for the ns9000x, it is still head lighter than 900P

i was wondering though, would my power decrease by a lot if i go with the type s? i'm afraid the type x would be too stiff.

eh, i figure your power wont decrease much at all. its you swinging the racket. its more timing and stuff. shouldnt be a major power loss.

thx jymbalaya, that was very helpful. does anyone have any comments about the mp99 or ns8000? those seem very good.

the ns8000 is headlight while the mp99 is slightly head heavy. i've used both and i prefer the headlightedness of the ns8k over the mp99.

I have used the all three and yes, the 900P has more power than the 8K and the 99 but then it lacks the speed needed for defence in doubles.

It is apparent that the nice knowledgeable folks who have responded so far are not going to be able to predict, to your satisfaction, what racquet will suit you exactly.

With the prospective purchases that you are naming, you obviously have deep pockets.

Perhaps you should buy two of the rackets that you are pondering ... preferably two very different rackets .... and see what suits you.

Or better yet, why not borrow or rent these models before you buy. (but I forgot...you're "in a hurry";))

    Anyhow, good luck.

matt3mb i find the at900p amazing. smashes are awesome, and i have it in 4U, but the power is still there and i find that its a lot easier to defend with than a 3U. definitely a keeper.

has anyone tried the as10 and could rate it compared to the at900p in terms of power, feel, defence and maneuverability? something like 1-10(10 being highest) thx
