I'm currently using the BG85 string at 23lbs on my AT900P, and i was wondering what other strings are good and at what tension. I haven't tried any other string besides BG65Ti. Has anyone tried the NBG98 or CBG100?
maybe u can try yonex bg66.... as for tension its hard to say how high or low is best... cos it depends on u... like how strong ur arm are... u said ur tension is 23lbs... what u think abt it? how was ur feelings when hitting the bird with that tension? exm: like smashing, clearing etc etc... are ur feeling good? cos higher tension gives u good in control but u need more power to make the bird go fast... as for low tension it give better power to those who r weaker in their arm and wrist... but lesser control... diffrent ppl suits diffrent tension...
what a coincidence, I just wanted to make the same thread. I have tried 900P with Nbg98, BG65P, BG65. the best string for me is BG65P. The string still on my racket now, but I think it's getting lossen. In Indonesia is very hard to get Bg65P, now I have to change to something. I was wondering BG66, 65Ti, 85, Nbg95. I never like Bg80. Anyone of you tried other string that suit 900P?
how does bg85 feel compared to bg 80? how long does bg66 and bg65p last? has anyone tried the bg68ti? and last question, does bg65 really have more control than bg65ti but less power?
maybe next time i'll try the bg80 at 24lbs, since i see it is quite popular. guess i'll just have to try and see what combination works the best for me
kinda both. its supposed to last longer while retaining repulsiveness. however, some people find it a bit numb, and a little slippery at the beginning.
stickies and the search functions are some of the best things on the forum. not everything, but some. use them well.
Just as there are no "Best" racket, there are rally no "best" string or "best" tension.. It would be nice if it was.. then everyone could buy the same "best" racket, string and use the "best" tension.. Everything is relative to your technique, strength, style, preference, budget, speed and it is really the combo of the racket, strings, pattern, tension and YOU that completes the equation.. And the most varying part of the equation is probably YOU.. So no one here can really tell you what tension and strings are most suitable for your game.. Just feel like I am repeating myslef Good luck with your string and tension selection.. Best way is really to test some different strings/tension to get a better understanding of YOUR own preferences... /Twobeer
