I'm having a tournament in a few hours, and since it's my first time, i would like to know what you guys tend to do before your tournaments?
Get in the zone.Just forget about everything else and concentrate. I just relax put my iPod in and thats it really.
Everyone is when they enter their first tourney. Stauy focused and relaxed. Nervouseness will make your game suck. PS: Good luck. What type of tourney is it? What events are you competing in?
It's important to not let the first few points bother you when playing your first game in your first tournament. If you get upset over a few mistakes, then you'll feel more nervous and pressured and everything will go downhill. Just relax and if you're playing doubles, make sure you both feel comfortable and not nervous.
I was in the Boxing Week Tournament at Cleartwo. Boys doubles. I had a pretty good start, but it kind of ended terribly. THanks for the replies
How terribly? If it's not completely horrific ( a death or something and I seriously doubt it's that bad), please share and if it's badminton related, we'll see if we can help.
It's not really badminton related, more of a self-esteem thing. My partner and I were rather tense going into the last round, and we messed up a lot of simple shots. It probably had something to do with having to play on the court right beside the spectator's area.
