Cheap places to stay during the Singapore Open

    Hey guys are there places you would recommend staying while in Singapore? I'll be travelling to malaysia to see my family and i would like to attend the singapore badminton open. Thanks in advance.

    whats your budget first.. and do u wanna stay near ur relatives or u wanna stay near the Indoor stadium?? where does ur relatives stay anywae??
    For the tickets.. I guess it's quite easy to buy here... =)

    Well, staying in the city area is definitely not going to be cheap, but it'll be convenient going to the stadium from there. Like what sporty says, you'll have to let us know your budget before we can help you out.

    Pan Pac is super expensive!!! I feel that it is at least. Haha.

    Well Nick if you can afford it and it's well within your budget, by all means. ;) It's easy getting around from there and there're lots you can do in your free time.
    It's real fun staying in the same hotel as the players. You see them in their most relaxed selves, and you get to find out who they hang out with among themselves. :p

    hmmm say a maximum of 100 singapore dollars? Something that isn't too far from the indoor stadium.

    Then pAN pAC IS OUT.. COIS IT IS AROUND 400++ what about the one they stayed last time.. the one in Geylang.. Tristar Inn.. not so sure about the price though...
    Its about 85 to 100+++... last year they stayed there....

    For paramount hotel,its around 125++++ Sunview hotel.. near paramount too.. not so sure about the price.. but guess you can take bus no 16 from around there to reach the stadium or u can just take a cab... dun stay in hotel in singapore.. so not so sure about it... or guess tehre is another one in beach road... not so sure yet.. will help u to find out more .... =)

    Its ok.. happy to help u too... havent checked any other hotel yet... once i find out then will tell u k... Or do u wanna stay in Orchard.. can take 16 from there too.. cos in Lucky Plaza they sort of rent a room, around 50$to 60$ per day.. interested??

    So u are coming for the semifinal and final.. not for the whole week is it?? ok.. then i'll ask my fren the number of this place.... so is it ok?? cos orchard is not that near to the stdium.. but there is straight bus to go there... it will be for more than one people to share the place... usually indonesian who come to singapore stays there.. esp those who stays for not so long period...

    It's a private room.... i havent been there before but my fren has.... Its not a hostel...
    the place is quite clean... if u take bus maybe it will take around 15-20 minutes...

    Haha, seems like Ah-Pua has beaten me to it. I was just going to recommend the YMCA, but with another link here.

    I think this is pretty reasonable, and yes it takes probably 15 minutes by bus no.16 to reach the stadium from here. And the bus stops right in front of the building on the way back from the stadium. ;)
