i think....the draw has been in favour to ina's camp....with 3 byes to XD pairs..and others disciplines also not bad...with so few participants in WD..???.....

Compared with MAS SS, it's not many shuttlers will take part this second leg SS. Looking at the drawing, only MS discipline has qualification round. Hope INA players will produce better result than two runner-ups last year.

The Korea Open will only have qualifying rounds for the men's singles events and the women's doubles will have a preposterous fifteen first-round byes:eek::eek:, making it the worst-attended Super Series tournament since last year's China Masters..

    hmm..

Taufik has probably the best draw to semifinals. Assuming that he has no problems with HK, Eng and Indian players in his path.

Sony and Simon are again on collision course.

hopefully this year will be malaysia year...all malaysian players will conquer the world this year.We have many talented player like arif latif, liew daren,c.wei feng,mark/tan,and so on..but they still young and need many tournament to grow up..i like to see the final next thomas cup between malaysia vs indonesia.indonesian players are among the best player of the world. This is my prediction if malaysia vs indonesia in final thomas cup..
    1)c.wei vs sony
    2)koo/tan vs markis/hendra
    3)arif latif vs taufiq
4)zakry/fairuziuan vs the finalist malaysia super series(i forgot)
    5)c.wei feng/liew daren vs simon

But,it is very earlier to predict. This is only for fun..

Errr....are you on the correct thread??? This thread is about the Korea Open draw, not the Thomas Cup (which will be held next year).

It's nothing to do with opinions. What Badmania is saying is keep to the topic. If you want to talk TC, do it in the appropriate thread.

Doesn't the number of participants in the KO, tell you something about its flawed reputation?

Well, I do share the belief that Lee Chong Wei can win another SS title, since the participants are more or less the same field or even less competitive field than the Malaysia SS. But, weather could be a determining factor too as players from ASEAN countries are pretty averse to the cold weather condition in Seoul.

BWF will have international lines men for all Super Series, hopefully it will start from 2010....I think it is good...KOREA Open is known for patriotic linesmen ...many federations had complained to BWF about linesmen and wanted sanctions to Korea Open as it has been continuing for a long time....KOR Open should not use al Junior players as linesmen...I hope Dr. Kang should do something about it after all he is President of BWF...things are getting better as BWF will do some changes slowly...

Well, if LCW's gonna look at the negative side and complain about the cold, he's not gonna have a chance of winning the AE but so what, who didn't?
