Misbun Sidek Sickness...

anybody knows status of LCW coach misbun sidek seems to be critical in hospital now, whoever knows the story pls update for BC member. tq

Misbun was admitted to hospital on Monday 29-Dec-2008 for suspected lung infection and he was put on drips.

He had not been feeling well since he returned home from pilgrimage in Mecca two weeks ago.

Pretty bad, this is probably a combination of dehydration and some alien virus. My dad had similar illness coming back from Mecca, took him 3 mths to recover.

what do you mean by alien virus??
a kind of virus after u back from Mecca??

Alien, meaning not a typical illness affecting Malaysians.

People from all over the world congregate at Mecca. Not all of them fully immunized against various diseases.

But most importantly, is to maintain hydration in such hot conditions, 'cos you don't know how much water you've lost since the sweat immediately dries up.

Just spoken to Misbun a while ago. He is doing ok and still recovering. One of the reason that he fell sick is that he didn't have enough rest after all the tournament traveling as well as matter regarding his wife's condition. Plus the travel to Mecca has finally take its toll on him. However he is still as jovial as usual. He just need more rest and will be fine.
