Gnah, sometimes I wish Aussies weren't so good at other sports

Because trying to get badminton telecast in Australia is impossible :p

Media will always show sports that the country you're in has a chance of winning. Admittedly this isn't a huge problem at the Olympics where whilst we have a few competitors, we only really have realistic chances of winning in maybe 30 odd sports. Commonwealth games we can realistically have a chance of winning, or at least getting a medal in almost every single damn sport bar badminton [1], hence no badminton is telecast (if Australia doesn't get at least 50 gold medals something is wrong :p).

Should be the opposite in NZ right, since even by Commonwealth standards NZ still sucks at most sports bar badminton ;)

[1] Apologies to Lenny, who might win something, and the Aussie badminton medalists past

*glares at Pecheur and takes out Pecheur voodoo doll and poke 20 needles into it!*

Actually, we won a few too thankyouvewwy much! :) Besides, the only reason why Australia is winning so many is because they use a lot of their migrants..e.g Tatiana somebody in the pole vault, I bet there are a few kiwi migrants too representing Australia :)

In addition, I think God has also something to do with Australia's achievements. You see, with most other countries, they are blessed to be citizens of those countries. But unfortunately, for Australians, there's no joy in being Australians, so God took pity on you and tried to balance your misfortunes by letting you win some sporting achievements to make up for it..hehe :p

Yes you guys won literally a few, here's the final medal tally from KL, Australia won more gold medals than the next three nations combined ;P

    Australia 80 60 58
    England 36 47 53
    Canada 30 31 38
    Malaysia 10 14 12
    South Africa 9 11 15
    New Zealand 8 7 19

As for your next comment, most people are blessed to be citizens of the countries they in, um, don't take this the wrong way, <political, left wing hat on> wake up and smell the roses chick, most countries are either third or second world where the majority of the world's population is starving, under non-truly democratically elected regimes, paying off massive amounts of debt to the first world which was incurred by previously non-democratically elected rulers :p Most of the world's population are not lucky to be citizens of the countries that they are <political, left wing hat off>.

Okay, probably shouldn't have brought politics into a joke, however ...

As for Australia's success being based on our immigrants, well, it's because people actually want to come and live in Australia, as opposed to NZ ;)

    LOL

Once again, we are treading on thin ice.... Adelina & Pechuer... Lucky that Oz and Kiwi are separated just far enough to prevent frequent stone throwing between the islands and the water is too cold to swim....:D
